Chapter 45 - Chapter 44: The Almighty Yesenin

After finishing the away game in Vladivostok, the entire Zenit St. Petersburg team drove directly from the Dynamo Stadium to Vladivostok International Airport, where they took a flight back to St. Petersburg that very same evening.

On the plane, Chen Yingxiong met Petrovna again. This time, Petrovna hinted that she was free in St. Petersburg every Sunday and Monday, and if he wanted to find her, he could call her anytime.

His teammates were holding back their laughter as they watched Chen Yingxiong make fun of himself. Chen Yingxiong couldn't refuse too bluntly, so he could only make up some excuses.

The thirteen-hour flight was simply torture for him. The last time he flew to Vladivostok, he was at least embarrassed only in the second half of the flight, but now he was embarrassed throughout the entire flight...

In the end, Chen Yingxiong simply pretended to be asleep, listening to music with headphones on, pretending not to know what was happening outside.

He finally made it to St. Petersburg and breathed a sigh of relief.

But his embarrassment was not over yet. On the bus from the hotel back to the training base, Chen Yingxiong was teased by his teammates again, and bursts of joyful laughter broke out from time to time.

Amidst everyone's laughter, Chen Yingxiong now hoped that Vladivostok Light Energy would be relegated as soon as possible...

After saying goodbye to his teammates in the parking lot of the training base, Chen Yingxiong returned to the dormitory deep in the training base alone.

When he opened the door with the key he saw Yesenin sitting on the sofa watching TV.

"You're back?" Only when he saw Chen Yingxiong did Yesenin move his eyes away from the TV.

"Yeah."

Chen Yingxiong took off his shoes, threw his backpack directly on the floor, and ran barefoot to the laptop on the dining table.

"I probably upgraded!" he said as he opened the website.

After seeing his experience bar, he shouted "YES!"

"Yes, you've been upgraded." Yesenin stood up and walked behind him, looking at the laptop screen with him.

"Starting two games in a row, scoring two goals in a row, and winning two games in a row. These are the three tasks. In addition, there are experience bonuses for consecutive goals and consecutive wins."

After listening to Yesenin's explanation, Chen Yingxiong whistled. "Cool!"

He had just obtained a new talent point, and he had no hesitation about what to add it to. He had already gained a little of the "knockdown" talent before, and it would be meaningless if he only gained it once. Chen Yingxiong had studied this talent and felt that it would only make sense if he maxed it out.

So all the talent points he recieved should be put into this talent.

He pressed the mouse on the "Knockdown" talent icon without hesitation.

A colourful light flashed by, and he received the second-level effect of the "knockdown" talent.

Now when attacking, there was a 10% chance that he would not commit a foul when he knocked down a defensive player.

In terms of reputation, he was still at the level of an unknown person, but the number behind it had changed, increasing by ten points to twenty points.

Chen Yingxiong turned around and asked Yesenin. "Can I view your website on another computer?"

"Yes, just enter the URL and you can see it."

"How can we ensure security?" Chen Yingxiong was worried that anyone could open this website. Even if they might not be able to do anything, it would be bad if others knew his secrets. Chen Yingxiong was not that stupid. He had made rapid progress with this "Aurora System" and wouldn't spread the word everywhere. In front of the outside world who did not know the truth, he was a genius and he was happy to play such a role.

"Don't worry about that. This website is only useful to those I choose. Otherwise, to ordinary people, it's just an ordinary... uh, World of Warcraft talent simulator webpage."

Chen Yingxiong laughed. "Hiding this in the talent simulator of World of Warcraft? You're quite sneaky actually!" This was fine. Anyone snooping would just see that he liked the game, and it was normal for him to look at the talent simulator from time to time. Researching talents... he often did this when he played in China. Otherwise, how could he have become the top leader in the guild defence war just by accumulating online time?

After saying that, he stood up and said, "Come on, go to the city with me."

"What are you doing?" Yesenin looked up and asked him.

"Buying a laptop!" This road trip to the Far East had made Chen Yingxiong feel the disadvantages of not having entertainment. He had nothing to do on the plane, so he had to flirt with the stewardess, but she ended up seducing him. In the hotel room, he was unfamiliar with the place and had nothing to play with, so he had to sleep. If he had a laptop, it would be much more convenient to check his upgrade status, and he wouldn't have to go back to the dormitory every time to use Yesenin's laptop like now.

After a tour of the city, he bought a Dell laptop, and of course, he didn't forget to buy a genuine World of Warcraft CD. Although he had to spend every night gaining experience, he still wanted to play online occasionally when he had time in the future.

This game brought him great comfort during his most empty, helpless and decadent time. He started playing just to vent his emotions and forget his troubles, but he hadn't expected to meet a lot of friends in the game, fighting monsters, levelling up, completing quests, and chatting together.

He thought that these people, whom he had never met before, were much cuter than his teammates in the club in real life.

So when he decided to AFK and leave the game temporarily, he did not forget to say goodbye to everyone.

To him, this game was no longer just a game.

After buying the computer, Chen Yingxiong remembered that he didn't know how to install the system, and that this was a Russian version of the system installation disk - Chen Yingxiong had studied Russian for so long, majoring in football, but his Russian vocabulary in IT was pitifully small.

"Mr. Aurora, do you know how to install the system?" He asked Yesenin with a try-it attitude.

Unexpectedly, Yesenin skillfully took out a USB flash drive from his bag and plugged it into Chen Yingxiong's new laptop.

Hard disk partition, one-click installation, software installation, GHOST backup... Watching Yesenin operate the computer skillfully, he grinned. "Is there really anything in this world that you can't do?"

"I'm really not good at world peace," Yesenin replied.

"But... you look like a computer installer, not a god... you're not cool at all."

"I'm not a god. What would make me cool?"

"For example, with a wave of your hand, a colourful aurora covers the entire laptop, flickering and flowing, and then when the light disappears, the system logo automatically lights up on the screen..." Chen Yingxiong imagined.

"Have you ever seen me cook for you by waving my hands, and colourful lights flowing, and then the food appearing on the table by itself?"

"Uh... no."

"So I'm not a god. Installing the system requires tools, and cooking still requires making a fire. If you don't use the right seasonings or control the heat well, the food you cook will still taste terrible." Like the computer installers that Chen Yingxiong had seen, Yesenin refreshed the desktop several times with the right button of the mouse and then said to him.

"Alright."

The operating system was in Chinese and on the desktop there were icons of software he often used, such as QQ, IE, Thunder, Baofeng Player, Qianqian Jingting...

Yesenin saw the World of Warcraft installation box on the table. "Do you want me to install this for you too?"

Chen Yingxiong shook his head. "No need..." He suddenly remembered that World of Warcraft was also in Russian though! "Ah! Damn! Do you have a simplified Chinese version of World of Warcraft?"

Yesenin took out a mobile hard drive from his bag and connected it to the computer.

Chen Yingxiong glanced at the contents of his mobile hard drive and was surprised. "You also have Audition?! Westward Journey Online? Mir 2, Rage 3... I can't believe you're a veteran in the online gaming world!"

"I don't play it, I just put it here in case I need it, like now," Yesenin explained while installing it. "Which disk should I install it on?"

"Disk E!"

Chen Yingxiong answered casually, then was surprised after a quick glance. "Damn, you also have Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge? I want it, I want it! Install it for me quickly! I want to play it!" After Chen Yingxiong discovered that Yesenin's mobile hard drive was simply a treasure trove of games, he immediately became interested.

"Do you have Pro Evolution Soccer 10?" After receiving a positive answer from Yesenin, Chen Yingxiong shouted, "Install them together!"

Then he asked a barrage of questions. "Is there Tailing 3? Is there Wolf on the Train? Is there Imprisonment?"

"No," Yesenin answered decisively without any hesitation.

Chen Yingxiong felt disappointed, and his interest in this "treasure trove" disappeared by half after hearing this.

After everything was installed, Chen Yingxiong connected to the Internet and opened the website that Yesenin gave him.

Sure enough, everything that should have been there was there, nothing was missing, and nothing had changed.

He saved the website in his favourites tab and exited.

Seeing Chen Yingxiong stand up, Yesenin already knew what he was going to do. "Are you going to give up your free time and gain experience again?"

Chen Yingxiong nodded.

The hero needed to level up, so of course Yesenin had to accompany him.

When the two of them were using the training grounds for extra practice, Chen Yingxiong suddenly said with emotion, "Now that I think about it, it's a good thing I live in the dormitory building, otherwise how could I have such good conditions to practice every day? But I will have to move out in the future... But how can I gain experience if I move out?"

"You can't spend every night training like this in the future, right?" Yesenin said to wake the dreamer.

Chen Yingxiong came to his senses. Yes, the colourful world of St. Petersburg was still waiting for him. By then, he probably wouldn't have the time and energy to come and practice every day.

He kicked the ball passed by Yesenin towards the goal, and the ball went into the empty goal that was unguarded.

"Okay, then I'll score more goals! Score more goals! After a while, I can relax and move out!"
