Chapter 2: Foul
Oleg Saveljev was originally very unhappy, he felt that his precious time was wasted. Now was the critical period for him and his teammates to compete for the first team, but he was called out by the coach to play with a kid who came out of nowhere.
He fully vented this dissatisfaction in the game, defeating Chen Yingxiong time and time again.
When he first saw this big guy, he thought he would be a powerful guy - the coach might want him to test this kid's ability, and maybe this kid would become his teammate in the future.
Who would have thought that in the first confrontation, he would head the ball away from Chen Yingxiong, who was half a head taller than him?
How does it feel? It's like a lightweight boxer knocking a heavyweight boxer unconscious with just one punch...
After the initial surprise, Saveljev found that this big oriental man was just a facade.
He could abuse this Chinese opponent however he wanted. He easily got into position and used reasonable techniques to block the opponent from jumping. Then he suddenly jumped high, judged the landing point, and headed the ball out.
This is a basic quality for a central defender.
He was only 1.82 meters tall, but he often faced those high centre forwards in the youth team games, and he relied on this set of skills to deal with them. When he finds that he can't get a header, he will use all means to interfere with the opponent, so that the opponent's header often loses its accuracy.
The same thing happened when dealing with Chen Yingxiong.
Just like this time...
Saveljev waved to his teammates, indicating that he would deal with the big guy this time - to deal with someone like this, do we need two or four people? I can do it by myself! I will just take this as an opportunity to show off my abilities in front of Mr Latysh, the assistant coach of the first team. If I can defeat this big guy by himself, I believe it will leave a very deep impression...
...
The ball was passed into the penalty area again.
Chen Yingxiong was about to jump and compete for the header, but he found that there was a defensive player on his side, separating him from the ball... If he wanted to head the ball, he had to deal with the guy in front of him...
He was familiar with this guy after so many confrontations. Although he didn't know his name, Chen Yingxiong remembered his face firmly.
There was no time for him to bypass the defence and grab the landing point, so Chen Yingxiong jumped up directly.
One of the CSKA coaches off the field shook his head.
How could he possibly get a header with such a stupid move?
Professional coaches can tell at a glance what Chen Yingxiong wants to do.
He wanted to push his opponent away and then head the ball into the goal.
This is an obvious foul... And even if it's not a foul, such a direct attack method would be seen through by everyone in the real game, so how could you have a chance to fight for the ball? They all saw that Oleg Saveljev was using Chen Yingxiong to show his defensive ability, especially his ability to defend against high balls. He wanted to win the favour of the coaches.
However, none of the coaches stopped him, especially Nikolai Latysh, the initiator of the competition.
A smart forward will use fake moves to confuse his opponents. For example, when he intends to rush to the front point, he will not rush directly to the front point. He will pretend to attack the middle, leading the defenders defending him to retreat to the middle with him, and then suddenly change direction and go straight to the front point!
Then, the defenders would have no time to react and could only watch him escape and jump up in front. If the judgment of the landing point and timing were more accurate, it would be a threatening header shot in front.
This particular big guy doesn't look smart though...
Another person was shaking his head and sighing off the field, but he was not a coach of CSKA Moscow. He stood outside the barbed wire, like an ordinary spectator, except that he seemed more interested than the average person...
…
Saveljev did not focus his attention on Chen Yingxiong, he was always looking at the football.
When the football flew over, he jumped up on the spot, intending to kick the football out - after defeating the big guy several times in a row, he didn't take Chen Yingxiong seriously at all. He naturally thought that he would win again this time.
But just as he jumped up, his human instinct made him sense the approach of danger...
At this moment, a dark shadow rushed towards him!
Before Saveljev could react, he felt as if he had been hit head-on by a heavy truck...
The world was spinning!
Saveljev fell on his back and saw the oriental boy in the air.
He was high above.
He had never seen this scene before.
There was only one thought in his mind. 'How is this possible?!'
After knocking away Saveljev who was defending him, this was originally a great opportunity for Chen Yingxiong to score, but after knocking away Saveljev, he also lost his balance and just barely hit the ball. It went ridiculously high and flew directly over the crossbar...
…
Chen Tao, who was off the field, held his head with both hands and pulled his hair hard. He felt sorry for his son again - so many times, so many times, this had been the best chance to score a goal!
He now felt that CSKA Moscow was definitely not a place for his son to stay, and he did not expect to play for this team anymore. He now hoped that his son could score a goal in this special game! Let those old
Russians who looked down on his son see that he was not bragging or lying, and his son was really...capable!
Chen Yingxiong felt as regretful as his father. After landing, he looked in the direction where the football flew, gasping for breath.
The whistle sounded, and the temporary referee Mayukov rushed up to signal Chen Yingxiong that he had committed a foul!
Chen Yingxiong ignored him. His mind was full of thoughts about scoring goals. He had to score a goal!
Although the previous attack did not result in a goal, he suddenly realized something from this attack.
He thought that in terms of experience, he was far inferior to the other team. In the youth team of the China League One team, there were not many games played in a year. The club competition in China was very irregular. What about the Russian youth team? Although he did not know much about the Russian league system, he felt that the level of Russia must be higher than that of China. They should have their formal youth league, right?
If you can't compete with experience, what about technology?
Similarly, the opponent's skills are better than his own. Chen Yingxiong had already discovered this in the previous confrontations.
Then what else can he fight with?
Fight with your body!
Yes, it's all about physical strength!
Although this collision was a foul, Chen Yingxiong felt that he still had the physical advantage.
I used to care too much about "positioning", "snatching points" and "techniques". All of these were using my weaknesses to fight against the opponent's strengths...
Why are you so stupid?
I have a body, why not use it? I am so tall and so strong, why should I compete with them in technology? Why bother? If a window can be broken with a hammer, why use a glass cutter? I will use my body to play with them, and see who can beat me!
A foul?
Chen Yingxiong didn't care about that. He just wanted to score the goal of CSKA Moscow. It would be even better if he could knock the opponent's defender into the goal with the ball!
If you want to humiliate me, I will embarrass you too!
…
Latysh, who was waiting to see the joke on the sidelines, had a slightly changed expression when he saw Chen Yingxiong knock Saveljev away.
Saveljev was the main central defender of the youth team. Although he was only 1.82 meters tall, he was very strong. Even if it was a simple physical confrontation, he should not have suffered such a big loss - looking at the scene just now from the perspective of an observer, it did not seem like Chen Yingxiong hit him, but rather that he hit a wall himself and then fell on his back.
It seems that the chattering Chinese man was not lying at all, his son is indeed very strong...
But so what?
Latysh's expression quickly returned to normal and he looked at Chen Yingxiong with a hint of sarcasm.
What is strength without a mind?
Do you think you can dominate the field with just brute force? Where are the headers you promised? How many times have you scored? Seven or eight times, right? Not a single header went in, let alone a goal. Not even one that hit the goal frame!
Good header? Ha!
…
Saveljev got up from the ground, but his teammates didn't come up to help him but laughed at him. He knew he had gone too far, and he wanted to show off, but he ended up making a fool of himself...
His teammates were already a little dissatisfied with him for only caring about his own performance, so they were happy to see him make a fool of himself.
Don't think that there is no such tension in foreign football clubs. It's just that they may not be as naked as in China, but they will still have estrangements and inner calculations because of competition...
Saveljev knew that his teammates were waiting to see him fail, and he absolutely could not let them succeed. Everything today was simply a gift from God, and he had to seize this opportunity to thoroughly establish his position in the heart of assistant coach Latysh and lay a solid foundation for his move to the first team.
"This fucking bastard... Damn it, I'm going to show you how powerful I am!" Saveljev swore, staring at Chen Yingxiong's back.
…
Chen Yingxiong had no idea that he had been targeted by the other party.
He yelled to the guy on the wing who was specifically responsible for passing the ball to him, "Come on!"
As long as you don't finish this game, I will compete with you! Do you think you have humiliated me?
Get ready for this slap, CSKA!
