Chapter 1 - Ch. 001: THE BEGINNING OF ETERNAL PROMISE

Xiang Kang never expected all of it to begin like this.

From the time he was born, his family had always encouraged him to learn many stuff: whether it's martial arts, advanced studies, folk art or anything else.

And he did learn and practice all of it with activeness and energy. Xiang Kang had turned sixteen yesterday, so he is at a legal age to start going at peculiar missions.

But first, he needed training to complete and fight well in those missions and quests. Xiang Kang is the son of the ruler of Shin Dynasty, Hue Kang.

Hue Kang, the benevolent ruler of the Shin Dynasty, watched the dawn as golden sunlight bathed the palace walls, symbolizing the prosperity of his reign. The bustling streets below echoed with the joyous sounds of drums and flutes, announcing the day of his son's vow.

The royal court shimmered in hues of crimson and gold, with banners of phoenixes and dragons swaying in the gentle breeze. Lanterns adorned the city, their fiery glow mirroring the dynasty's unwavering spirit.

Thousands gathered in the grand plaza, their faces alight with pride and hope as they celebrated Prince Xiang Kang's coming of age. Children tossed petals in the air while elders shared tales of the dynasty's glorious past.

Xiang Kang, dressed in silken robes embroidered with the dynasty's emblem, walked gracefully to the sacred altar. The air was thick with anticipation as his voice rang clear, reciting the vow to protect his people with honor and wisdom.

As his words echoed across the palace grounds, the crowd erupted into cheers, their faith in the dynasty's future renewed. A majestic phoenix kite soared high, symbolizing the prince's rise to greatness.

Hue Kang, his heart swelling with pride, placed a ceremonial jade crown on his son's head. The dynasty stood united, celebrating not just a prince's vow but the promise of enduring prosperity under his rule.

Xiang Kang stood as the crowd go silent-waiting for the prince to take his vow. Xiang gets up, lifts his right hand at a ninety-degree angle from his face, and his eyes straight, filled with feelings of responsibilty and heroism.

His heart waved with nervousness, as the saint proceeded to hand him a roll. Xiang unfolded it, and found a whole paragraph he had to say in order to take his vow.

But Shin Dynasty was never out of dangers.
