The warmth of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting soft beams of light across the room. Scarlett sat at the edge of the bed, her fingers nervously tracing the edge of the flash drive. Last night's revelations still weighed heavily on her, but there was a glimmer of something else hope.
Nathan entered the room, carrying two mugs of coffee. He placed one in front of her, then squatted down beside her.
"How are you holding up?" he asked his expression a mixture of concern and love.
Scarlett managed a faint smile, though her voice betrayed her unease.
"We're one step closer, but I can't stop thinking about what's ahead." She said stretching out her hands to collect a mug from Nathan.
Nathan nodded; his expression resolute.
"We'll face it together. But first, we need to make sure we're prepared for whatever Grayson throws at us next."
