But just before Steve could respond, someone else did. "He already did. You were not on duty on the day that he came. He also made arrangements to go back within 3 days of his arrival."
The person who had spoken was yet another lady that was partnering up with the lady who had spoken first at the receptionist desk.
Upon hearing her colleagues words, the lady immediately stopped questioning. Instead, she accessed the computer in front of her, and in a little while, the information was displayed in front of her.
After confirming that everything was as it was supposed to be, she nodded. Then she said, "Please head upstairs for the procedure to be completed. I believe that you already know the room that you are supposed to go to, right? Just in case you don't know-"
But even before the lady could complete her statement, Steve spoke up. "Don't worry, I know."
