Eram immediately shouted at Alexander. " fly up Sunny and use its bright shadow ability and burn in the middle as much as you can."
Alexander took a deep breath and used his abilities to its fullest. The Sun Wraith flew up into the sky and turned into its original size. The sun wraith then activated its ability Sunny Shadow and set a big portion of the student on fire.
None of the students in the middle understood what was happening but those on the outside got a glimpse of the students running from them.
Some of the students on the inside charged at the group. Alexander was starting to sweat. When his summons use their abilities he also has to use a corresponding amount of pho. The more creatures he has the less it affects him due to him only having two summons he had to take most of the burden.
Alexander was about to fall over from over-excursion but Michael caught him. He realized that Alexander didn't belong on the battlefield, at least not right now. He picked him up and used his gravity ability as far up as he could above the Sun Wraith.
Alexander went flying and was about to scream. He looked up to see where he was going to land and noticed where he was going. He reached out and grabbed the saddle on Sunny as he was being pulled up. Noticing Alexander had a grip Michael deactivated his ability.
Michael had learned how to set targets for his ability during his time in school and used it to lift Alexander to where he couldn't be hit.
Alexander was surprised but knew he had to adapt to survive on the continents. He rested his body by lying down. He used one of his other core abilities that allowed him to synchronize his consciousness with one of his summons.
He put himself inside his frog named Rib and flew down to the battlefield. He flew into the middle of the shadow and activated the frog's ability as well.
Everyone who was scrambling to get out of their shadow immediately started slipping and falling. Alexander was getting more drained by the second but managed to hold on. He leaped from person to person touching them and causing them to fall over because of the frog's poison.
Alexander took out half of the remaining student body before he didn't have enough energy. He played down and relaxed on the bird. He stayed up in the sky because he couldn't help in the fight below. The frog returned to Alexander to defend him in case something went wrong.
Down at the bottom, Michael was putting up the most work. Alexander weakened almost all of the opponents so all Michael had to do was indiscriminately use his gravity ability and let Yuki cast spells at them.
They worked together slowly whittling away at the numbers. Alexander's ability doesn't nearly use as much pho as Yuki's but she had a nearly infinite supply due to zero-one.
Yuki kept casting basic Fire spells one after the other because they had a low cost and high damage. Eram was standing behind the group because he wasn't feeling too good.
The more people he saw dying the more his trauma was stinging at him. He held it together to not embarrass himself in front of his team. If one or two people got close he could manage. But he would rather not.
At the beginning, Eram felt some kind of unnatural bloodlust. He didn't want to let his team down, but now he was just wanting to head back to sleep. He looked at his team giving it their all and just watched silently.
Lil was hiding with her ability waiting for a moment to strike if anyone got too close. Eram smiled a little bit as a little bit of blood dripped from under his eyes.
The blood trickled out of his tear duct making him cry blood. He rubbed it confusingly not understanding why he was crying blood.
He looked around and noticed all of the team members were bleeding from their noses and ears. He quickly understood it was someone's core.
Eram yelled out as loud as he could. " We are getting attacked! Someone's core is harming us!"
Erams body slowly started to adapt to the attack, but his teammates weren't. He needed to find a solution fast. He looked around the piles of temporary corpses and stared intently.
He felt as if something was off. His ears started to ring extremely bad and his head started to swell. All of his teammates were doubled over in pain. Knowing they were going to lose if they couldn't find whoever was attacked, they ramped up their attacks.

Hidden under the pile of bodies. A single boy lay here. He was struggling to breathe which was better than being dead. He was using his core 'body bloat' to attack everyone around him indiscriminately.
He was barely able to get into Ann because his core was weaker than others. He had a family but he didn't like them much. He wanted to live somewhere near the soul beast because he found them cool.
He trained day in and day out to make his core useful. After gaining it for almost a week straight without sleeping it changed inside his body. He could now do three different stages of attack instead of one.
The longer he held it on a specific target, the attack will get stronger over time. He trained even harder than Michael and Yuki combined. This boy who is named Ben gave it his everything. His team already died acting stupid. He suggested instead of sprinting to the center like everyone else they kind of slowly walk.
His team dinked him saying that was a stupid and trashy way to do it. After all, they wanted achievements. None of his team liked him and Ben didn't understand why. He knew he was physically weaker than Al of his teammates but his core should have made up for that.
He was their Centerpiece yet they treated him worse than garbage sometimes. Ben wanted to show them that they were wrong. He wanted to show them hard work beats talent. Alas, it wasn't enough he looked around and saw Eram standing there staring at him.
Eram was pointing at him. And saying something he couldn't hear, yet he understood. He screamed out. " Shit how did they find me so fast!" He quickly got up and started to run away.
He sprinted as fast as he could as he was getting chased by four people. He poured all of the pho he had into his core ability to accelerate the process of getting to stage three. The group was relentlessly chasing him but he was faster. Yuki stayed behind because she was too slow and she didn't know any spell that could reach him in time.
Michael fell over in pain as he succumbed to stage three. Blood started to seep out of everywhere on his skin he couldn't breathe but tried nonetheless. He lay there as the puddle around him was thickened.
Lila fell over as well starting to bleed but not anywhere near as bad as Michael. The amount of pho you had inversely affected how much you would be damaged.
Eram was still on stage two but it hurt like hell. For some reason his body was taking a while to adapt so he had to push through the pain. Every step he took he got closer. The only downside is that the pain got worse.
His body changed little by little to let him run faster. His body realized that if he couldn't stop the attack in time then he would die so it gave him the best solution.
Eram sprinted so hard that his stomach started to hurt. He was within a finger's reach of Ben and touching him when stage three activated. Eram fell over and immediately started to bleed worse than Michael and Lila put together. He went into shock and couldn't even move.
Ben stopped running and cheering as he noticed no one else standing up on the battlefield. He had won. It was by a hair breath but he one.
Ben started to cheer when he looked over. Lila was using everything she had in her one-impact ability.
His legs swelled up and started to glow.
She leaped through the air at a speed leaving a tiny crater where she stood. While she was flying through the air she unsheathed her sword.
Ben saw the attack coming and tried to avoid it, alas Lila was faster. Her sword cleaved right between his neck and head killing him instantly. Lila and Michael lay there slowly recovering.
For a moment the stadium was quiet until Alexander landed and lifted the still alive Lila. He recovered after a while but recognized he wouldn't be nearly as good in one fight so he held back until they did their thing. If they had lost he would have tried to attack Ben.
As soon as he lifted Lila the crowd cheered. The roaring of the stadium made the five left still alive and numb. Alexander loved it. He cheered like a maniac and accidentally dropped Lila.
Lila grunted as she hit the ground. The announcer boomed over the speakers. " Team Forgotten Shadows just won! With the closest match in the history of the tournament! If This young rising star player Lila didn't pull through in the end they would have lost!" The crowd cheered loader at the five victory.
The announcer continued after a moment. " The real MVP of this match though was Alexander! He single-handedly eliminated around three thousand opponents!" The crowd kept getting louder.
All of the students on the ground started regeneration. Ben was the first to recover. As soon as he got up he started to cry. " How… how did you get me."
Feeling bad Lila gave him an honest answer. " Honestly I felt like I was going to die. I got up and used one of my abilities and was barely able to hit you."
Ben fell on his hands and knees and started balling his eyes out. He gave it everything he had and didn't win. The announcer leaped off the stadium and landed right by the group.
He began to speak. " Ben, don't feel down. You took on a group of potential S-Grade kids while you're just a potential A-Grade. Honestly, that's the most impressive thing anyone has done. Besides, I think a few of the country's leaders want you." He pointed at the top of the stadium where a bunch of kings, queens, emperors, ministers, and more sat.
Ben got up still a little teary-eyed and said. " What do they want me for?"
" Kid, you don't realize how amazing your skill is. People will give a bunch to have you on their side." The announcer was extremely impressed with the kid's display and skill.
Ben got up and walked to the nearest door that was covered with talent scouts. They all greeted him with open hands. Each one of them was instructed to recruit him the best they could.
The announcer looked back at Eram and his group. And started to speak once again into the speaker. " I want to congratulate you all personally. That was amazing. You all used your strengths to work effectively as a team
You will be moving on to the next round tomorrow. It will be a tournament style so it will all be one on one. Keep in mind tomorrow will test your stamina as the victor of the tourney will be decided that day as well."
The announcer left to make sure all of the students who died were ok. Eram was mentally exhausted and sat down. The rest of the group followed his lead.
Michael laughed and said. " See I told you we would win. On top of that good job Alexander for getting MVP!"
Alexander smiled and laughed." It's only Natural my talents shine!" He was proud of himself for getting the MVP. He close his eyes to meditate for a bit. Using so many abilities for the first time was a lot even for him.
Michael then asked. " How did that guy not get burned by the Sun Wraiths ability?"
Alexander promptly answered. "The ability only works on its own shadow. So if someone hides under something they aren't affected. What I guess happened was that his teammates ditched him to fight while he decided it would be best if he hid, and once everyone lit on fire he found an opportunity to get under everyone there." Everyone nodded in understanding after he said that.
Lila started to talk. " That guy's ability was amazing. I barely was able to cut off his head. Honestly, it was just luck. Anyways let's head back to the dorm. We weren't prepared for this. Let's study up for a little while."
