The speaker came on and propped the groups to the front. Eram and his group were already in the front, so they waited for instructions.
Team Five left after saying goodbye and good luck. Eram and his group approached the doors and listened to what the instructors had to say.
The female instructor looked at the group and began to speak. " Please wait for a moment while the team Dire Tree approaches." She pointed behind them to show the approaching 5 students.
One of them walked in the front like he owned the place. He had gray hair with streaks of bright plume running through. He walked up and hit a goofy pose while waiting for his other team members to also hit a pose.
The boy looked at Eram's team and began to speak. " My name is Jones and I bring the storm! And you are?"
Feeling like this person's existence was a personal insult Alexander stepped up. " My name is Alexander and I'm the King of the Beasts!" Alexander shoved his finger in Jones's' face.
Jones backed his energy, shoving one right back. " This is my team, Ken the chain wielder, Preston the untouchable, War the Angel, lastly Fisch the ocean master!" They hit another goofy pose.
Alexander was about to pose as well to assert dominance but was quickly stopped by Lila. Lila asked before Alexander could make a fool of everyone." How do you already have monitors?"
Ken quickly explained. " We don't yet, however, these are what we want to be called so call us by such!" Ken grinned and then flexed his muscles.
Everyone, even Alexander got an icky feeling seeing that. They all shivered but gave back normal names. Alexander realized what Lila always stopped him for. He thought to himself 'Damn these people are embarrassing.'
After exchanging handshakes the instructors took them to different sides of the arena. Everyone was nervous, even Eram. Eram knew he had had to use all of his abilities but refused. He couldn't even think of using the abilities he stole, it made him sick.
They approached the doors and got ready. The instructors explained one last thing. " you will be warped to the middle of the arena and will be expected to immediately start fighting. Do your best!" The lady waved at them as they vanished.
The announcer was screaming into the microphone. " Welcome everyone! This will be an insane show! To your left, we have Forgotten Ashes and to the right, we have the Dire Tree! In a moment they will appear and fight! Just like before, the last one standing wins!" He stopped talking and the two teams appeared.
Eram immediately felt the blood lust coming from the Dire tree causing him to tense up. Yuki and Alexander jumped back to assist. Michael and Eram ran forward to go on the offensive. Lila vanished from sight and waited for a moment to attack.
The dire trees Guardian Preston ran forward without any care. Lila saw a chance to cut his head off though somehow she missed. She couldn't understand how she missed when he was inches away from her. Preston through a punch hitting her in the gut.
Lila went flying bouncing off the ground repeatedly. Eram saw what happened but couldn't understand. He knew it had something to do with his core but couldn't understand what. Interrupting his thoughts jones summoned his lighting spirit and shot a giant beam of lighting towards the middle of the group.
Jones stood there for a while standing non seriously. " Come on Eram, don't get distracted." Jones looked furious at Eram and he couldn't understand why.
Jones pulled out a giant metal rod and bolted towards Eram. The pole amplified his lighting causing giant streaks of the white hot lightning to come off of it.
Alexander attempted to dodge but the lighting arced and still got him. Eram fell to the ground sparking. While Eram was struggling, Michael was excelling.
Michael used his gravity ability to keep pulling Ken towards him. Ken was stalling for time till Eram was taken out to use his chains. He heard Eram's ability to adapt was deadly so he was waiting till he didn't have to worry about losing.
Michael was more of a threat than Ken thought though. No matter how much distance he tried to create, Michel didn't let him. Michael couldn't reach him but was getting closer.
Ken finally gave in and used the chains to grab ahold of Michael and to create some distance. What people didn't know about Ken's chains was that they were also summoned similar to His team leader Jones.
As soon as Michael was grabbed by the chains he hit them to break them. Much to his surprise the chain immediately broke. He couldn't understand why but not wasting any time he ran after Ken.
Across the battlefield, Yuki and Alexander were trying to assist Lila in fighting Preston. Just like the rumors he was untouchable. He always managed to somehow avoid getting hit. And with every mistake Lila was hit once more.
Blood was pouring out of her mouth and she had several bruises covering her stomach. She had a hard time breathing but couldn't figure out what to do. She noticed War flying in the air waiting for a chance to heal others. Lila pointed upwards to show her group where the war was.
Yuki looked up and noticed him. Yuki looked around and found Fisch heading to help Ken. She couldn't leave Lila alone as the only reason she had lasted this long was because of her and Alex's stalling.
Lila kept staring at what was happening. He would come up to hit her, she would swing then he would shift backward somehow. She kept staring and then it dawned on her. He is seeing into the future and accelerating his own time.
If he had an ability like that then it's possible. She dove forward and used one of the presents she got called Pinch. It was a giant needle that allowed her to instantly warp up to five feet.
She stabbed in the direction where she assumed Preston was going to dodge towards. Much to Prestons' dismay he found a giant needle sticking out of his side.
War who was in the sky wave his hands and instantly warped both him and Preston away a little distance. Yuki the quickly pulled out another small animal from a bag she kept at her waste. As soon as tiny animal decayed into dust, she put her hands on Lila instantly healing her.
Yuki yelled towards Alexander. "Go help Michael, He needs you!" Alexander knew what he had to do.
