Chapter 2 - Sure enough, men are lecherous

He frowned. Had she really chased him all the way here?

Gloria Price already had a bone to pick with Trenton Wood. Seeing his disdainful look only fueled her anger further.

She reached into her backpack, pulled out a few condoms, and stuffed them into Trenton's hand with a mischievous grin.

"Fancy meeting you again, old man. Here, a little gift for you. No need to thank me."

Trenton looked down. Condoms, size small!

"This size must be perfect for you, old man!"

Trenton's face darkened with rage.

Just as he was about to explode, a small, pale hand snatched all but one of the condoms from his grasp.

He lifted his gaze to meet a pair of fawning, yet cunning eyes.

"Hehe, judging by your physique, one should be enough. Giving you more would be a waste, and wastefulness is shameful.

We should all respond to the national call to conserve resources! Have fun tonight, old man. See you!"

She winked at him before turning to leave.

Trenton was truly infuriated. He was about to grab Gloria and give her a piece of his mind when the door suddenly opened. Standing there was a stunning, scantily-clad woman.

She saw Trenton and her face lit up with joy. She quickly took a few steps forward.

"Mr. Wood, hello, I... I'm Piper."

Trenton Wood instinctively took a step back to maintain some distance from the woman.

He stared at her for a few seconds, frowning. Was this the miracle doctor Henry Jackson had found for him?

The woman seemed to sense his doubt and quickly blushed, saying, "Mr. Wood, I really am Piper. I'm a new recruit in the Neurology Department of the World Medical Organization this year."

Hearing the words "World Medical Organization Neurology Department,"

Trenton Wood's expression softened a bit. He responded with a cold "Hmm" and walked into the room.

The woman hurried to follow, but Trenton Wood shot her a frosty glance. "Stay away from me!"

The woman was left speechless.

Outside the door, Gloria Price couldn't help but glance back. She didn't see Trenton Wood, but she did catch a glimpse of something red.

"Ha!" she sneered. So, the scumbag really was here for some fun.

She pulled out her phone and dialed the police.

"Hello, 911? I'd like to report illegal activities in room 1201 of the Mayada Hotel. You need to come and arrest them!"

Back at the Price Family estate, she had to endure and pretend to be crazy to survive. But out here, no one was going to push her around!

After hanging up the phone, Gloria Price was in an excellent mood.

She walked to the door of room 1208 and knocked. "Knock, knock!"

The door opened, revealing an elderly man with a Mediterranean-style bald head.

The old man was quite a sight, with eyes so small they seemed like slits and a belly so large it looked like he was nine months pregnant.

His height... well, it was awkwardly short.

She had to look down to see him!

The old man seemed delighted to see her, his hands and feet trembling with excitement. "Hello, hello, you must be Miss Gloria Price?"

Gloria forced a smile, suppressing her disgust, and nodded. "Yes, I'm Gloria Price."

The old man squinted his eyes and blatantly looked her up and down, grinning lewdly.

"Miss Price, you look even more beautiful in person than in your photos, heh heh."

Gloria replied, "And you look... younger than I imagined!"

The old man was almost beside himself with excitement and quickly said, "Come in, come in... Don't stand outside; you'll catch a cold, and I'd feel terrible."

As he reached out to grab Gloria's hand, she swiftly sidestepped and walked into the room.

The old man didn't seem bothered. He immediately closed the door and locked it from the inside.

He opened a bottle of red wine and sat next to Gloria Price, pouring her a glass and handing it to her.

"This is genuine Lafite, over a thousand dollars a bottle. I bought it just for you. Drink up, it'll warm you up."

Gloria took the glass with a sweet smile. "Thank you."

Seeing the eager look in the old man's eyes, Gloria brought the wine glass to her lips. With a gentle sniff, she immediately sensed something off.

Drugging me, huh!

She moved the glass away from her lips and said with a pitiful expression, "Grandpa, I..."

"Sweetie, don't call me Grandpa. Call me brother."

Gloria thought to herself, "Brother, my foot!"

"Brother, I came straight here after school and haven't eaten anything. Drinking on an empty stomach will hurt. Do you have any food? I'm really hungry."

"I have some pastries. I'll get them for you."

As soon as the old man got up to fetch the food, Gloria quickly poured another glass of wine and sniffed it. This one seemed fine.

She swiftly swapped the glasses.

The old man returned with a plate of colorful pastries. Gloria picked one up and, after confirming it was safe, began to eat.

The old man didn't stay idle either. Sitting beside her, he said, "Gloria, I'm sure your family has told you about my situation. Let me explain again. I'm 68 years old, a bit older than you, but older men know how to take care of you!"

A bit older?

We're talking about a 48-year age gap here!

Suppressing her inner sarcasm, Gloria Price maintained a sweet smile and said, "I don't mind the age difference at all. Come on, let's have a drink."

The old man, overjoyed, eagerly picked up his wine glass and took several big gulps.

"It's wonderful that you don't mind! I have three sons and two daughters, and my family runs a restaurant business. We have eight branches just in Harbor City alone!"

Gloria immediately played along, "Wow! Brother, you're so wealthy!"

The old man puffed up with pride, "Of course! Don't worry, I can definitely take care of you!"

Gloria took a bite of a pastry and casually asked, "And how's your health, sir?"

The old man chuckled lewdly, "Very healthy. Anytime you want, I can satisfy you. Heh heh... You don't need to worry about my physical needs; I get a full-body massage every day."

Gloria felt disgusted. At his age, his thoughts were still so filthy.

As expected, men are lecherous until the day they die!

Suppressing her revulsion, she continued, "Brother, you've misunderstood. I wasn't asking about that. I wanted to know if you have any illnesses? How much longer do you think you'll live? And after you die, how will your assets be divided? Specifically, how much will I get?"

The older man's face darkened at her words. "So, you're only after my money?"

"Yeah, what did you think?"

At his age, did he really expect to find true love with a young girl?

Is this old man joking or what?

The old man was furious. "I thought you were different from other young women!"

Gloria Price laughed in response. "If I said i wasn't for the money, you wouldn't believe me anyway. To be honest, our Price Family is facing a financial crisis. We owe billions, and we're counting on your dowry to save us!"

The old man was shocked. "Billions? I thought it was just five million!"

Gloria blinked her eyes. So that scumbag sold her for five million!

That was quite a sum!

She smiled at the old man. "Five million is just the beginning. Once we get married, you'll be the son-in-law of the Price Family. You'll have to fill that hole, or else... I might divorce you right after we get married."

The old man's face turned dark.

Gloria, with her big innocent eyes, continued, "And you know, I'm young and have a lot of needs. After we get married, you wouldn't mind if I used your money to keep a few young men, would you?"

The old man immediately snapped, "How dare you!"

Gloria, having had her fill, grabbed a napkin to wipe her mouth and then said to the old man, "Don't be angry. A night of passion is worth a thousand gold pieces. Why don't we get started? After tonight, we'll be officially married, and our Price Family's billion-dollar hole will be all up to you."

She pretended to sit down next to the old man, "Hurry up, once you're satisfied, I'll go find some other young guys."

The old man trembled with rage, "Shameless woman, get out! I want to call off the engagement! Give me back my hundred thousand dollar deposit!"

Gloria Price pouted, "Sir, I didn't take your money."

The old man was furious, "Liar! I'm calling your mother right now to get my money back!"

Gloria couldn't be happier about that.

As soon as the call connected and Callie's voice came through, Gloria started her act, "Sweetheart, don't you like me? I truly like you! Once we get married, I'll love you with all my heart. Come on, darling..."

The old man shoved her away, "Get out! Get out of here right now!"

Gloria said a few more fake sweet words, and seeing that the old man's medication was starting to take effect, she swiftly left the room.
