As Sophia and Max approached the old warehouse, Sophia couldn't shake the feeling that they were walking into danger. The building loomed above them, its windows dark and empty.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Sophia whispered to Max, her heart racing with fear.
Max nodded, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. "I'll be right here with you," he said. "We'll face whatever is waiting for us together."
Sophia nodded, feeling a surge of gratitude towards Max. She knew that she could count on him to keep her safe.
As they reached the entrance to the warehouse, Sophia saw that the door was slightly ajar. She hesitated, feeling a sense of trepidation.
"Wait," Max said, his hand on her arm. "Let me go first."

Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she wondered who Victoria was talking about. Was it someone from her family? Or someone else entirely?
As Sophia hesitated, Victoria took a step closer to her, her eyes glinting with malice.
