As Nicole sat back down at her desk, she felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. She had stood up to her father and asserted her independence.
But just as she was about to focus on the company's upcoming projects, her assistant, Emma, burst in with a worried look on her face.
"Nicole, we have a problem," Emma said, her voice trembling. "One of our major investors is threatening to pull out unless we meet their demands."
Nicole's eyes narrowed. "What demands?"
Emma hesitated before speaking. "They want us to sacrifice our values and compromise on the quality of our products."
Nicole's face set in determination. "We'll never compromise on quality. Find out who's behind this and get me a meeting with them. Now!!!."
Emma nodded and quickly exited the room, leaving Nicole to wonder what other challenges lay ahead.
Nicole's eyes narrowed as she waited for Emma to return with the information. Who could be behind this attempt to compromise Melbourne Enterprises' values?
Emma burst back into the room, a look of determination on her face. "I found out who's behind the demands, Nicole. It's a business tycoon who just came back and a fling from the past Nicole... Andrew Bond, a rival businessman with a reputation for ruthless tactics."
Nicole's eyes widened in surprise and horror. Andrew Bond? Why him of all times, she knew they would cross paths but never thought she'd be dealing with him directly.
"What does he want?" Nicole asked, her mind racing with possibilities.
Emma hesitated before speaking. "He wants a meeting with you, Nicole. Alone."
Nicole's instincts screamed warning. What could Andrew Bond possibly want with her?
"Emma, how come I have never heard of this Investor of us known as Andrew Bond ? Nicole asked
"He is behind Nicholas Bondi, our french investor who came to us a year ago Nicole. We investigated him but never found anything so I think they allowed us know who is their biggest backer?
Hmmm, okay. I will see how they want to destroy us then. Nicole said with a smirk hanging on her lips, and a dangerous glint in her eyes which were hard as ice...
