Chapter 35 - The Witch's Proposal

"Do you have any good ideas on how to solve the problem in this fallen territory, Wu Chen?"

Seeing the confident look on Wu Chen's face, Sylvie couldn't help but ask curiously.

"Hmph, of course I do."

Wu Chen stroked his chin, wearing a look of someone who had it all figured out.

"How would you do it?"

As a former elven goddess, Sylvie knew that the current state of the elven race was dire. The elves, long-lived but decayed and detached from the times, hadn't seen a new birth in ages. Their people had little desire and were all essentially "Buddhist elves," indifferent to worldly matters. So she was eager for any good strategy that could save her people.

"It's simple: delete and restart!"

Wu Chen spoke with the mindset of a gamer.

If this account is ruined, just delete it and start over.

Back in the day, he had to restart several times to properly establish Dawn City. He was extremely familiar with this process.

"First, deal with the Full Moon Witch, then liberate the fallen territory, and rebuild the new Dawn City. That's it!"

"And what about these people?"

Sylvie glanced at the bustling crowd outside the street.

"Since they have their hearts set on the demons, I'll send them to the demons' residence and fulfill their wishes. Don't you think I'm a great benefactor?"

"The key issue right now isn't these people, but the witch."

"If we can't deal with the Full Moon Witch, there's no way we can liberate this fallen territory, no matter what we do."

Wu Chen looked very troubled.

Now that he had exhausted all the potions from the goddess of love, how could he quickly deal with the Full Moon Witch?

Wu Chen felt a bit stumped.

And how could he prevent Litia from discovering his schemes involving the other witches? That was another problem.

...

"Ah-choo—!!"

On the top floor of the witch's palace, in the reception room, Litia seemed to sense something and suddenly sneezed.

"What's wrong? Is someone talking behind your back?"

The Full Moon Witch, Xia Yueyun, sitting across from her on the plush sofa, was gulping down a bottle of soda.

"Hmph, if I sneezed every time someone badmouthed me, I'd never stop sneezing."

Litia, with her long, slender legs wrapped in black stockings, draped them lazily over the sofa.

Strange, why do I feel so uneasy? It's as if something important is about to be taken away.

Litia appeared calm on the outside but was anxious inside.

At her level of power, she often had peculiar premonitions before major events. This uneasy feeling was one such sign.

Unfortunately, she had to welcome the Full Moon Witch and couldn't investigate further.

"Have you finished all the investigations you needed to? Why haven't you left yet?"

"Don't be in such a rush. It's rare for old friends to meet; shouldn't we reminisce a bit?"

"Don't get too familiar with me. We're not 'old friends' or anything."

"Care for a drink?"

Xia Yueyun offered Litia a bottle of soda.

"No need, I'm not interested in the peculiar things you learned from the Apostles of Gods."

Litia coldly rejected.

"Full Moon Witch, I'm being polite only because you're the organizer of this tea party. If you keep hanging around and don't reveal your real purpose, don't blame me for taking action."

Litia folded her arms and showed a fierce expression.

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you the real reason for my visit. I heard you've hired a new cowgirl maid?"

Xia Yueyun asked with a smile.

"Yes, I… I think I understand what you're up to now."

Litia glanced at Xia Yueyun's flat chest beneath her cheongsam and gave a knowing smile.

"Is it okay if I take a milk bath?"

"Fine, but once you're done, you have to leave. Is that okay?"

"Of course."

Xia Yueyun nodded.

"I'll go prepare it for you. Wait here for a moment."

Litia stood up and left, while Xia Yueyun stayed in the living room, quietly pulling out something that looked very much like a 3DS game console.

"Let's play a bit of Monster Hunter first. No, no... there are more important things to do right now."

"With this magic device, I can pinpoint the current location of the Mother Goddess Envoy. Thanks to Dainy's stealthy preparations, I have a tracking spell in place."

"Haha, coming here was a great move. Litia would definitely try to hide the Mother Goddess Envoy outside the palace, so separating them like this is the perfect strategy. I'm really a little genius!"

"Let me see, where is my future husband right now~~"

Xia Yueyun manipulated the game console, and a somewhat blurry map appeared on the screen.

"Hm? This location… how did the Envoy end up in my territory?"

Xia Yueyun was momentarily stunned but then showed a confident smile.

"Hmph, I really am the luckiest of them all. Who would've thought he'd end up right in my own backyard."

"Litia, I'll accept your fiancé."

Xia Yueyun licked her enticing cherry lips and then transformed into a beam of pure silver moonlight, dissipating in the living room.

"Full Moon Witch, the bath has been prepared for you. Hurry up and leave after you're done… Hm? Where did she go?"

After a few minutes, Litia returned to the living room and found that Xia Yueyun had already disappeared.

"How should I handle the Full Moon Witch?"

Wu Chen, having momentarily left Sylvie, was in the library restroom dealing with some biological necessities while pondering his next strategic move.

"Mother Goddess Envoy, are you looking for me?"

Just as he zipped up, a sweet, seductive voice from behind startled him, sending a shiver down his spine.

"Hey, this is the men's restroom!"

Wu Chen made a casual complaint on the surface, but inside he was in a state of total chaos.

With silver twin-tails, red eyes, a cheongsam, white stockings, and most notably a flat chest—this is the Full Moon Witch, right?

With her pressed so intimately against his back, Wu Chen's heart was pounding with anxiety.

Wasn't she supposed to be visiting my wife? How did she suddenly end up here?

And how did she know I'm the "Mother Goddess Envoy" since we haven't met since crossing over?

"True to being the Mother Goddess Envoy, you're indeed extraordinary. Even though I sense you're just an ordinary human." Xia Yueyun's hands, wrapped in lace cuffs, moved enticingly across Wu Chen's chest as she sensed his aura, looking genuinely surprised.

Because I really am just an ordinary human!

Stay calm; first impressions are crucial. I must find a way to deceive her and prevent her from realizing my identity is fake.

Also, boosting the Full Moon Witch's favorability is very important. What should I say…

"Lord Envoy, what do you think of me? Am I more tempting than that little brat Litia?"

"I've learned many different techniques through the various books given by the Apostles, and I can definitely satisfy you more than Litia."

Xia Yueyun blew a soft breath into Wu Chen's ear, seductively whispering.

"Lord Envoy, forget about Litia, that dull person. Marry me instead?"

Hmm? What's going on?

Wu Chen looked completely confused.

How come you're giving yourself away before I've even made a move?
