The next day, Satoru Uchiha lay lazily on a tree in the training grounds, gazing up at the sky with a bored expression.
"This is so dull," he muttered to himself. "Why is everyone suddenly busy with missions? Are they all trying to make a big wave before the holidays to earn some extra cash?"
He sighed dramatically, tilting his head to the side. "Even Itachi had to go on a mission. Isn't this technically child labor? Aren't there laws against this?"
After a moment of silence, he smirked mischievously. "Speaking of Itachi, his birthday is coming up soon. What should I get him? No one knows him better than me, after all."
A sly grin spread across his face as an idea struck him. "Wait, I've got it. I'll just ask him directly! No way he'd refuse Goko if I ask him."
Satoru chuckled at his own cleverness, already hatching a plan to disguise himself. "But it can't be Uchiha Satoru asking… no, no, that won't do."
He glanced at his white hair in the reflection of a nearby puddle and smirked. "Hmm. White hair, silver hair—they're close enough, right? Perfect. I'll be Goko Hatake!"
---
Back at home, Satoru rummaged through drawers and closets, gathering pieces for his disguise. After a while, he stepped back from the mirror to admire his work.
The reflection staring back was startling. The "new" Satoru had short, messy white hair, a forehead protector covering one eye, and a mask hiding most of their face. A long blue dress added an extra layer of mischief to the look.
"Hahaha!" he laughed, striking a dramatic pose. "What a beautiful and handsome little beauty! I didn't realize I was this good at pulling off women's clothes."
Satoru twirled in front of the mirror, his exaggerated tone making even himself laugh. "Still, this looks just like a feminine version of Kakashi-sensei. From now on, call me *Goko Hatake!*"
---
With his disguise ready, Satoru activated his teleportation ability, a modified use of the **Cang** technique. The process involved creating a suction-like force to compress space, allowing him to "jump" between two points almost instantly.
Moments later, he appeared in a dense forest. "Hmm," he mused, looking around. "According to the mission schedule, Itachi should be around here."
He started scanning the area but suddenly felt his body weaken. A wave of exhaustion swept over him.
"Ah… the price of being too amazing," he muttered, stumbling slightly. *Could it be that my body is too young to handle back-to-back teleportations? Or maybe yesterday's overuse during the exam is catching up with me.*
Satoru sighed and decided to conserve his energy. "Fine, no more teleportation today. Guess I'll just play the weak little girl role for now."
His mischievous grin returned as he activated his Six Eyes, a technique that allowed him to perceive vast distances and detect chakra signatures effortlessly. "Let's see where you're hiding, Itachi."
Through his enhanced vision, Satoru spotted a troubling scene not far away. Itachi, only eight years old, stood frozen in place as an older man with a mask loomed over him.
"Uchiha Obito," Satoru muttered under his breath, his expression darkening.
---
Without hesitation, Satoru teleported directly into the confrontation, arriving just in time to block Obito's attack. The clash of kunai sent sparks flying as Obito's eyes narrowed in surprise.
A reluctant smile tugged at Satoru's lips as he steadied himself. *This is bad… my energy hasn't recovered yet. I'll have to stall him.*
Obito studied the figure in front of him, his gaze growing more intense. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice cold and low.
Satoru tilted his head, feigning innocence. "Me? I'm Goko Hatake," he said brightly, striking a playful pose. "What's a handsome guy like you doing out here?"
Obito's eyes narrowed further as he analyzed the strange individual before him. The mask, the white hair—it reminded him of someone he'd rather forget.
*She looks like Kakashi,* Obito thought, his fists clenching at the memory of his old comrade. His heart burned with anger and resentment. *Kakashi… the one who let Rin die. How dare he live on, making friends and leaving the past behind?*
The more he thought about it, the more his fury grew. His gaze shifted to Itachi, who stood behind the mysterious girl, his newly awakened Sharingan spinning with two tomoe. *Perhaps this child will prove useful for my plans. But first…*
Obito's kunai gleamed as he prepared another attack, his killing intent spiking. "Anyone connected to Kakashi… deserves to die."
Satoru's face twitched under his mask, and he forced a smile. *Great. He's madder than I thought.* Raising a hand, he pretended to dust off his outfit. "Whoa, calm down, big guy. Can't we talk this out? Maybe over tea?"
But Obito wasn't in the mood for jokes. His kunai flashed forward, aiming for Satoru's chest.
---
"*Not today,*" Satoru thought, summoning every ounce of his remaining energy to deflect the attack. He twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the blade, and countered with a kick aimed at Obito's side. Though the attack lacked power, it was enough to create distance between them.
Itachi watched the exchange, wide-eyed and speechless. *Who is she?* he wondered. *And why is she helping me?*
Obito's interest only deepened as he observed the disguised Satoru. *Her abilities… they're unusual. And that teleportation… it's not the Flying Thunder God Technique. What is she?*
For now, Satoru's priority was clear: protect Itachi and stall Obito long enough for reinforcements—or a miracle.
With a sharp grin, Satoru shifted into a ready stance. "Alright, masked man. Let's see what you've got."
