Uchiha Obito, realizing he had wasted enough time, decided it was time to end this. He had tasks ahead of him, and the longer this fight dragged on, the more taxing it would be.
"Fire Style: Wind Dance!" Obito shouted, unleashing a B-rank jutsu.
With a flick of his wrist, the flames surged forward in a blazing inferno, swirling within a powerful vortex of wind. The flames roared as they burned fiercely, propelled by the ferocious wind, reaching with deadly intent toward Satoru and Itachi.
The intensity of the attack was overwhelming. The fire serpent formed by the flames twisted and danced, burning everything in its path. Itachi, despite his abilities, felt the searing heat and the devastating power of the attack. He knew that this level of jutsu was far beyond his current capabilities.
"What do we do now?" Itachi thought to himself, his heart racing as the flames encircled them. There was no way he could withstand this, not yet.
Satoru, however, remained utterly calm. His eyes—pale blue and piercing—seemed to glow in the inferno. He knew exactly what was coming. The flames in front of him might have been fierce, but they were nothing compared to the true power he held within.
The wind and fire converged in an explosive rush, engulfing both him and Itachi. For a split second, it seemed as if all hope was lost.
But then, out of the fire, a strange energy began to emanate—black and swirling, pushing the flames apart. The surrounding space seemed to quiver under its force, and the flames were torn asunder, dissipating in an instant. The heat that had once threatened to consume everything now faded into nothingness.
Satoru stepped forward, unfazed. Itachi, eyes wide with disbelief, looked up to see the girl standing tall before him, the fiery storm gone as quickly as it came.
Obito's expression twisted beneath his mask. *How did she survive that?*
And what was that energy?
Satoru smiled faintly, his expression calm but deadly. "That's all? You're going to have to try harder than that."
Obito's mind raced. The black energy that had shattered his attack was like nothing he'd seen before. It wasn't chakra, that much was clear. It had a presence, an aura that reminded him of his own space-time ninjutsu, but it was far more unpredictable. Far more dangerous.
He scanned Satoru with narrowed eyes, trying to figure out what she was. *Who is this?*
His thoughts were interrupted as Satoru took another step forward, the black energy swirling ominously around her right hand. Her smile deepened as she addressed Obito. "You should really reconsider, you know. Arrogance is dangerous."
Satoru raised her hand, and the energy in her palm flared, emitting a faint, terrifying hum. Obito could feel the power radiating off of it, like the very fabric of space was bending around her. It was unlike anything he had ever encountered.
---
Obito quickly analyzed his options. He wasn't dealing with a normal ninja. Whoever—or *whatever*—this girl was, she was far beyond the scope of what he could easily handle.
With a quick flick of his wrist, he began preparing his escape. *I can't afford to waste more time here,* he thought. The space around him began to warp as he prepared to use Kamui.
"You're leaving already?" Satoru asked with a hint of mockery in her voice. "Don't tell me you're afraid of a little girl?"
Obito's eyes glowed with intensity, his gaze flicking toward Satoru. "I don't have time to deal with you. But remember this, Goko Hatake…" He paused, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "We will meet again."
With that, a distorted space enveloped him, and his body began to fade away, vanishing into the void with a final, quiet *whoosh.*
---
Satoru watched as Obito disappeared, letting out a long breath. *Finally…*
Despite the tense exchange, she couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. The battle had been taxing, especially with the residual fatigue from earlier, but she'd managed to bluff her way through it. Her strength wasn't quite what she wanted it to be yet, but her unique energy—closer to the essence of the soul than chakra—had given her the edge.
"That was too close," Satoru muttered to herself, flexing her fingers as the black energy dissipated. She turned to Itachi, who was still standing in awe of the situation. "You alright?"
Itachi snapped out of his stunned silence, looking at the girl who had just saved him. "I… I don't understand. What was that technique? That energy… it wasn't chakra. But it felt dangerous, like it could tear everything apart."
Satoru shrugged casually, trying to hide her weariness. "Oh, nothing special. Just a little trick I learned along the way."
Itachi frowned, clearly unsettled by the power she had wielded. "You're not from Konoha, are you?"
Satoru hesitated for a moment. "No. But I have my reasons for being here. You don't need to worry about that."
Itachi nodded slowly, still processing everything that had happened. Despite his confusion, there was something in his gut telling him to trust her.
As the last remnants of Obito's presence faded, Satoru glanced around the clearing, making sure there was no further danger. Her mind was already turning to the next move. *Obito won't be easily fooled again. I'll need to prepare for the next encounter.*
Satoru turned back to Itachi, giving him a small smile. "Let's get out of here, Itachi. I'm sure you've got more important things to do than get caught up in all this drama."
---
As the two of them left the forest, Satoru couldn't help but feel the weight of the encounter. She had won this round, but in the world of ninja, every victory was temporary. There were always bigger forces at play.
And this battle was just the beginning.
