*If Sasuke goes, then Itachi won't be able to avoid it either.* Satoru thought with a mischievous grin. The Uchiha prodigy across from him wore an expression of resigned patience.
*When did I agree to this?* Itachi mused, watching Satoru with mild exasperation. His second brother had a knack for making decisions for everyone around him. Despite being the picture of seriousness, even Itachi had moments when he found himself worn down by Satoru's boundless energy.
*What do you do when your brother is rebellious?* Itachi thought. *Teach him a lesson, perhaps.* A small, determined smile tugged at his lips. After being away on missions, Itachi decided it was time to spend more time with his younger brothers—and instill some discipline in Satoru.
"This is getting interesting," Shisui said, chuckling as he watched Itachi's barely concealed annoyance. "I didn't know your brother was so lively, Itachi."
Shisui's bright smile contrasted with the ever-serious Itachi. The idea of seeing the usually composed Itachi exasperated was something Shisui found oddly satisfying. *A moment like this should be stored in my memory with the Sharingan,* he thought humorously.
"Shisui!" A new voice called out, and the group turned to see Kakashi Hatake approaching, his demeanor casual but eyes sharp. He had been watching from afar, carrying out the Third Hokage's orders to observe the Uchiha, and saw an opportunity to get closer.
"Kakashi-senpai," Shisui greeted, surprised by the Copy Ninja's sudden approach. *Is he usually this sociable?* Shisui wondered, knowing Kakashi as someone who preferred to stay in the shadows.
"This is Kakashi Hatake," Shisui introduced to the others. "A strong shinobi."
Kakashi nodded, his single visible eye assessing the group. His attention shifted to Satoru, who stood out with his striking white hair and cheerful, carefree aura.
"Silver hair!" Satoru exclaimed, pointing at Kakashi. "A classic look with a mask? Quite stylish, but white hair is the king here, especially with a blindfold to match." Satoru's grin widened as he leaned forward. "Why don't we settle it with a ramen contest?"
Kakashi blinked, momentarily taken aback by the sudden challenge. *Silver hair? Is he talking about me?* This was a first. And what was this about a ramen contest? The Uchiha clan's reputation as a proud, serious group began to waver in his mind as he took in the bright, unconventional boy before him.
Kakashi chuckled, finding himself amused despite the situation. "Well, that does sound interesting. Should I join too?"
"Great! Let's head out then," Satoru announced, stepping ahead to lead the way, his voice brimming with enthusiasm.
"Hold on, kid," Kakashi called after him. "Aren't you going to take that blindfold off?" His tone was half-joking but laced with curiosity. He knew most shinobi relied on chakra for perception, which was limited, especially for a child. But Satoru seemed different, almost defying logic. *How could a five-year-old handle such perception?* Kakashi wondered.
"The blindfold is part of me," Satoru replied with a playful smile. "Would you take off your mask just to satisfy everyone's curiosity?"
Kakashi paused, a twinge of surprise crossing his usually unreadable face. *This kid… he reminds me of Obito,* he thought. The way Satoru stood, confident and unapologetically himself, was strangely familiar. Kakashi's mind wandered back to a time when he, too, knew a stubborn boy with bold declarations and a heart full of conviction.
