"Hey there's a new comment here,"a girl shouted excitedly drawing her colleagues' attention towards her. They all picked up their phones and logged into the forum.There was indeed a certain comment regarding Yu Fusheng's misogynistic behaviour . The comment was different from the others.
' No need to continue protesting. I'm sure the company will tend to your complains ' - handsome ally.
"Hmph! Who is this handsome ally?He's trying to defend Yu Fusheng,"the girl protested motivating her friends to start a debate over the identity of the anonymous user.
"I think it must be that Yu Fusheng,"another one argued.
"Or could it be Mr. Lu?"
"I don't think so. Mr Lu rarely pays attention to such things."
"Then it must be Yu Fusheng,"they concluded and almost fell off their seats out of shock when they turned around only to find the said man standing there,a distance away from them keenly listening to their arguments. They all looked away and busied themselves on the computer. He didn't say anything. He dipped his hand in his pocket and fished out his phone. He logged into the company forum and posted something and announced his plan of recruiting Ji Xian into the Aurora Band marketing project. He walked away giving them time to check on their phones which he knew they would the second he disappeared from their sight.
The trending topic was no longer the same. And just like that Ji Xian became the talk of the company. Many employees were actually pleased with Yu Fusheng's choice. Since Ji Xian joined the company ,many had witnessed her devotion to work. She barely wasted time on meaningless gossips,she worked overtime meeting her boss's expectations at all times.
Ji Xian,the only female employee worth of working with Yu Fusheng,was a twenty seven year old woman with a working experience of three years experience at the same company. According to many her curriculum vitae was among the best in the company showcasing her proficiency in various fields whether it was computer literacy, participating in major marketing campaigns and projects when she was in college as well as her multilingualism ability. She was proficient in English , Korean and Thai and undeniably fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
Her beautiful flawless oval face and well proportioned body was also another great advantage of hers. Her sense of fashion was considered the best at the company with well designed branded attire bringing out the best of her elegant self.Even with the possession of such skills she still remained humble both at the workplace and outside maintaining her composure not bragging off her skills. There were a few companies out there far much better than Leap Brand that couldn't wait to give her a chance but she insisted on working there. She had a certain instinct that the company was the right choice for her. She wanted to nurture herself and grow professionally through her effort.
When Yu Fusheng offered her the opportunity,she was glad that her instincts were right all along. Maybe that was the opportunity she had been waiting for,all her life. To use her ability to its maximum. But still she was nervous about working with the problematic Yu Fusheng. She wasn't sure if she would be able to withstand the pressure and emotional damage that came along as a full package while working with the mentioned man.
Ji Xian stood outside the meeting room,her right hand clutching her chest in attempt to calm down her racing heart. She closed her beautiful almond eyes and took a few breaths to regain her composure. She flashed her eyes open and slowly extended her hand reaching for the doorknob. She sighed once more and twisted the doorknob and walked in without hesitation.
She fluttered her long eyelashes excitedly when she stepped in and saw no one in the meeting room. It was exactly what she wanted. She hated the confusion as a result of tardiness. The seats were neatly arranged so she took time to pick the best seat for herself ; in terms of position, neither far nor close to the seat at the centre which was meant for the CEO.
Her precious comfort zone was suddenly ruined when Yu Fusheng walked in. Being in the same space as him nearly suffocated her but she managed to maintain her equanimity. She desperately wanted to prove to him what she as a woman or in general what women were capable of,make him feel guilty for judging employees based on their gender. She adjusted her seating posture ready to bring out her sassy side.
"Miss Ji,good morning,"Yu Fusheng greeted her in a warm gentle voice.
"Mister Yu,good morning,"she bowed slightly while still seated.
Yu Fusheng pulled a seat, directly across from Ji Xian and settled down. He immediately unlocked the iPad he was carrying and busied himself.
