The next morning...
William woke up and climbed out of bed.
Colonel Cyrus was making breakfast.
"Good morning." He said.
"Good morning."
"Here, take this and give it to Marie."
"Why me?"
"She's a Princess, you're a noble. She needs a proper meal."
William groaned and took the tray of food.
"I'm not really a noble. I was adopted by the prince."
He went into the bedroom where Marie was brushing her hair.
"Uh Marie, your breakfast is here."
"Thank you William." She took the tray and put it down on the nightstand.
William noticed her hair, it was in a half crown braid.
"Nice hairdo," said William, "Who did it?"
"I did." Said Marie, "When we moved into the ark, mother told me to learn how to braid my hair. Do you like it?"
"Yeah, it's nice."
"Thanks, so is yours."
"My hair? What's nice about it? It's messy and shaggy. I don't even like it."
"I do."
"Why?"
"Because I think you look cute with long hair."
William blushed.
"Um, thanks. Well I gotta go."
"Okay, I'll see you later."
William went out of the room and sat down next to the window.
'Wow,' he thought, 'She likes my hair? I always hated it. She's pretty too, and she's a good person.'
William looked out the window.
'I don't think I can handle this. I'm going to fail.'
"It's here!" Yelled Luke, the Willowisp.
Wilowwisps are ghost like beings that have the power to turn invisible. Like the pixies, they are small magical creatures about 2 feet high with white hair and pale skin.
"The dragon!"
"What?!" Said Colonel Cyrus.
"It's here! The dragon is here!"
"Oh shit." Said William.
The cabin began shaking violently, almost everyone lost their balance and fell.
"Attack dragon!" Yelled a voice.
Suddenly the cabin flew through the air and crashed onto the ground, making a big hole.
The door was wide open, everyone ran outside.
"Holy crap!" Said Brian.
There was a big dragon with black scales and long claws and wings.
"Magic missile!" Cried Tara.
A glowing dart came out of her wand, but the dragon swatted it away like a fly.
"Damn it."
"Run!" Said Alice.
"The dragon's scales are impenetrable!" Said Gong.
"Kill them dragon!" Said a robed figure floating in the air, "Kill all of them! This is for my hydra!"
"It's Ratty!" Said Colonel Cyrus, "We need to kill the dragon now!"
"We can't kill the dragon!" Said Marie, "Ratty is a wizard and a very strong one.
"This is it!" Ratty said, "Your days are over, and I will be the new ruler of the land."
"We have to kill the dragon!" Said Ken, "It could destroy the ark!"
The dragon breathed fire on the ground, the group managed to dodge the flames.
"Wait!" Shouted Alice as the dragon flew over her head, "I think I know a way to stop the dragon!"
"How?"
"It has no armor and is not invulnerable. Look at its stomach, its skin is thin there."
"That's right!" Said Colonel Cyrus, "But you have to hit it on the left side."
"No!" Yelled Ratty, "You will not kill my dragon!"
Cyrus aimed a crossbow and fired a bolt at the dragon.
The bolt penetrated the dragon's body and caused it to roar in pain.
"Hit the dragon's weak spot! Kill it now!"
Alice tossed a spear up at the dragon's belly. The dragon fell on its side and lay there.
Ratty screamed "No! My dragon! Die, all of you! Meteor Swarm!"
Suddenly, many small meteors appeared from the sky and rained down on the group.
They scattered in different directions and took cover behind the rocks.
"Damn, he's casting meteor swarm. Marie! Watch out!"
One meteor about the size of a semi-truck came straight towards Marie.
"No, Marie!"
Cyrus jumped in front of Marie and the meteor struck him.
"Colonel!"
Cyrus' body exploded into bits, his blood splattered everywhere.
"No!" Yelled Alice, "He's gone, Colonel Cyrus is gone!"
"You bastard!" Yelled Ken.
"Hahahahaha! I will not let you live, not after what you did to me and my hydra. Die!"
"Meteor swarm!"
Many small meteors flew towards the group.
"That's it!" Said Brain, "Earthquake!"
Brian stomped on the ground and the earth trembled, the meteors fell down and disappeared.
"Damn! Curse this land! This land will sink into the ocean!" Screamed Ratty.
"Die Ratty!" Yelled Brian.
"No, not yet. Teleport!"
Ratty teleported and vanished into thin air.
"He's gone!" Said Tara, "But how?"
"He cast a teleport spell." Said Marie.
"We're safe now." Said Luke.
"Yeah." Said Alice, "but now what? Colonel Cyrus is dead."
"We'll have to go back to the ark." Said William, "We've got to warn the people about the curse. We can't stay here any longer, it's not safe."
"We're going to leave the cabin?" Said Tara, "I really liked it."
"It's alright Tara," said Gong as he pushed the button and the cabin shrunk down to pocket size, "Now we can take in with us."
"How can we make it back with out the colonel?" Said Luke, "The ark must be fifty to a hundred miles away. What are we going to run into out there?"
"We'll have to risk it," said William, "it's the only choice we've got."
"I can't believe he's gone," said Marie, "he was such a great man. And now he's dead. I'll never forget him."
"Let's go, there's nothing left for us here," said Alice, "the dragon is dead, so is the colonel."
"Right, we should get going," said William, "come on."
The group marched off into the distance.
'Go on you little punks... out the way back to the ark... you better be careful... I will be on your butts every single step of the way... I will kill you all... the whole lot of you... you will pay for what you did to my hydra and dragon...'
Ratty laughed evilly.
