Our heroes made it to the red canyon.
Red Canyon was the name given to the vast desert that surrounded the ark. It was a very dangerous place because of the extreme heat and the creatures that lived there.
"There's a fire down there!" Said Alice.
She pointed to a huge wall of fire rising up from the canyon floor.
"Holy crap!" Said Gong.
"I don't like the looks of this," said Renny, "we'd better be careful. That's a fire storm. And a big one too."
"Yeah," said Ken, "those storms can last for days."
"How are we supposed to get across?" Asked Gong.
Cayleb Sighed.
"Leave it to me. Wall of water!"
Cayleb cast a spell, a huge wall of water came out of the ground and extinguished the fire.
"Great, now let's get going," said Shai.
"Wait, there's a problem." Said Marie, "That fire wall was probably caused by a wizard. Someone's been casting a lot of spells here."
"Him!" Said William, "Ratty is watching us. He's still out there, and he's not done with us yet. He's going to do everything in his power to make sure we don't get to the ark!"
"Come on," said Tara, "we'd better get out of here before the fire starts up again.
The group continued on their journey.
"Walking on this red sand is hard," said Marie, "it's so hot."
"Well," said Renny, "it's a desert, what do you expect?
"Come on let's keep moving" Said Alice.
"Look! Up ahead!" Said Brian, "The end of the canyon!"
"Yes," said Mica, "we can finally get out of this heat."
"Let's go. It will feel good to get into the shade." Said Pretta the Dragonborn.
Pretta was a young woman with scales on her skin and the head and wings of a dragon. She was skilled Ranger with eyes like a hawk; her arrows would never miss.
Dragonborns are a race of humans with draconic features and magical powers. Dragonborns are known for their wisdom and valor, and they are usually found guarding temples and ancient treasures.
"Finally, we can rest." Said Marie.
"Soon," said Amber the elf, "soon we will be safe and sound back in the ark."
Amber was an elven princess who was a ranger, very skilled with her bow. She had long blonde hair and was always calm and collected.
"I agree," said Renny, "once we're back at the ark, we can finally relax."
"What's the next area we travel through?" Asked Rama.
Rama was a lizardfolk with green scales, a tail and the head of a snake. He was an experienced fighter, and he could easily hold his own against the biggest foes.
Lizardfolk were a race of lizard-humanoid creatures with various colors.
"The mountains of Krakatos." Said William.
"Those mountains are huge!" Yelled Luke.
Krakatos is a mountain range with steep cliffs and dangerous paths. These mountains were a popular spot for mountain climbers and adventurers.
"Piece of cake. I can climb anything." Said Wyndham the gnome.
Wyndham was a good wizard but he had a drinking problem.
"Those mountains are big. The air gets thin, and we can run out of oxygen. We could also get snowed in or fall off a cliff." Said Nova.
Nova was a harpy with blue feathers and a human-like face. She was a powerful fighter and had keen eyesight.
Harpies were a race of bird-like humanoid creatures that fly through the air, but the thin air in the mountains would make in hard to fly.
"Don't worry, I can get us over those mountains," said Cayleb.
"We can't stay in the canyons any longer. Ratty could be lurking anywhere, and I doubt we'd see him coming. And who knows what kind of creatures are living here. We'd better get moving." Said Marie
