Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

"Wait," I said and she paused for a few seconds before turning around.

"Do you want anything else?" She asked, rather impatiently.

"No," I answered.

"So why then did you call for me?" She asked.

"Cause I need you to stand right here while I eat," I replied.

"What?!" She looked stunned.

"You must be kidding, right?"

"Do you see me smiling?" I said, maintaining a stern expression.

"Why should I stand and wait till you finish your meal?" She asked with a frown.

"Cause I might need something so you need to be close to attend to my needs," I answered with a straight face.

"If you need anything you will signify by raising up your hands or calling me and I will come and attend to your needs but you don't expect me to stand at your table like some statue while you eat," she said defiantly.

"Are you here to serve or lecture, huh? Ain't you the waitress? You wait tables meaning you wait at the tables. Do I need to start educating you on your job, huh?" I said and watched excitedly as her frustration grew.

"That's not what waiting tables means_" she tried to explain but I cut her short.

"Are you arguing with your customers now? Is this how you guys behave here, huh? So uncivilized!" I said, tuning my voice in irritation.

"Mr. Liam, I don't mind standing and waiting at your table. Please allow me to serve you," the eldest of the old man's daughters said, stepping forward and she was blushing slightly.

She is quite beautiful with lovely, nice shape and smooth skin as well. If that I wasn't here for a mission she would have made for a nice sex doll.

I can still take her to the restroom for a quickie.

No, I ain't here for pleasure but revenge! I need to focus on the task at hand.

Shaking off the improper thought that was growing in my head. "No. It's her I want. Isn't she the waitress, huh?" I said, frowning.

At this point from their faces I could tell the old man and his family members were starting to suspect something wasn't right. They must now realize I have a personal vendetta with Amelia.

"Mr Liam I am sorry but is there any problem here?" The old man asked, his voice a bit shaky. I could practically see the fear and worry in his eyes.

"No. I just want to be served properly. You promised I would get the best service here. Didn't you?"

"Y.. Yes I did," he stuttered.

"So why is your waitress failing to meet my basic needs and demands?" I said, showing my annoyance both in my tone and expression.

"I am so sorry please don't be annoyed," he pleaded with me like he had wronged me then he turned to face the cleaning lady.

"Amelia, please do what the young man asked."

"But his request is completely ridiculous and absurd! Why should I have to stand and wait while he eats?" She said, clearly showing her displeasure and frustration and I was enjoying every bit of it.

This is really fun to watch however I couldn't help but wonder if the old man would be able to convince her to do as I had requested since her former boss, the hotel manager, wasn't able to bend her to his will.

"Mr Liam is a special guest that means he is qualified for special treatment. If waiting at his table would bring him pleasure and satisfaction don't you think it's best we do it? I don't mind standing and waiting at his table all day but since he has asked for only you to serve him don't you think it's something within your capability? After all he is the only customer around," the old man said, his tone mild and respectful. Almost like a father speaking to his child.

I think I can now understand why she respects him more than the hotel manager. They share something like a father and daughter relationship but would that be enough to convince her to willingly subject herself to my humiliating demands? I know she is really stubborn and from her expression I could tell she was battling with a lot of thoughts and emotions but she suddenly became relaxed.

"Alright I will wait at your table till you are done with your meal," she said then came and stood next to me and I couldn't help but smile within.

Let the fun begin then!

"I need you to offload the food from the tray and unwrap the cutleries." I started assigning her tasks that I could and should be doing myself.

Without complaining though she did as was told but from her expression I could tell she wasn't pleased by my request.

"Done!" She said with finality.

Oh no. We are not done yet. I am just getting started.

"Good. Can you help me with my napkin?" I said titling my chin up so she can tuck it inside my shirt.

This request didn't sit too well with her as she stood glaring at me.

"What are you waiting for? Dress me up," I said cockily with a raised brow and the look she gave me. It was screaming death!

I bet she wants to strangle the life out of my lungs but instead of doing that she picked up the napkin and dresses it on my neck, her touch a bit rough.

"Hey, gentle there. Do you want to break my neck," I cautioned her but she hissed softly in response.

"Is there any other thing you will be needing me to do for you? Perhaps you want me to spoon feed you," she said afterwards, her tone a mixture of sarcasm and annoyance.

"No. That won't be necessary but now you can see why I wanted you to stand and wait. You have been rendering a great service," I said and she rolled her eyes in a frown, muttering some words I really couldn't hear but I know they were abusive speech.

I wasn't really bothered about that though . I am just constantly thinking of ways to humiliate her further before I get her boss to fire her.

My eyes went to the food in front of me. I really don't want to eat this as I was worried it would affect my stomach and make me sick but for my next move in humiliating her I needed to eat it, at least just a little of it. So picking up a fork and knife I sliced a bit of the chicken wings with the knife and took some pasta with the fork.

I squeezed my face in disgust as I was about to put the food in my mouth. I was already convinced it would taste horrible but my expression completely changed when It got to my tongue and it proved to be rather delicious.

Wow! What is this flavor?!

I couldn't help myself. My teeth just started chewing spontaneously like they have a different mind of their own and I got an even better taste of the flavor. The perfect blend of spice and seasoning danced joyfully in my tongue however I wore a false, dissatisfactory look on my face. I couldn't afford to let them know how I really feel about the food.

Spitting out the munched food in my mouth on a tissue. "Do you seek to take my life?" I said, rather dramatically.

"What? What are you talking about?" She looked confused.

"Is there anything wrong Mr Liam?" The old man asked, looking concerned and his wife and daughter shared his sentiment as well.

"What sort of poison have you served me?!" I yelled.

"Poison?" They all looked stunned.

"What game are you trying to play here?" Amelia frowned.

"Who is playing games with you? This food is horrible and it's definitely contaminated," I said, my expression hardened.

The frown on Amelia's face tightened even more at my statement but before she could voice out her thoughts the old man beat her to it.

"I am so sorry Mr Liam if the food is not up to your liking. I can have another one made for you," he said, trying to calm the situation.

"No thanks. I don't want more poisoned food into my system. I am definitely not going to let this slide. You people tried to poison me!" I said intentionally escalating the matter and the poor man looked so distressed.

"Poison you? Never! We would never do that," he said and I almost felt sorry for him at how pitiful he looked.

"So you are saying I am lying then? Are you calling me a liar?" I fired at him and I am sure his anxiety level skyrocketed at my tone.

"No, no, no. I dare not. I..I am just saying there must have been some misunderstanding here that's all. Maybe I added a bit more spice or seasoning to the food but trust me there was no malicious motive behind it," he said and at this time the joyous, excited spirit they all had had been replaced with the one of fear and worry.

The whole family kept pleading with me, trying to calm me down but the cleaning lady was quiet in all of it, however her eyes held a thousand words and none of them I am sure was anything pleasant.

Standing up, I adjusted my coat before saying. "I have heard all of you but the truth is I can't take this lightly my very life was at risk. I just can't allow you people to keep serving this poison to the good people of this town. I am sorry but I will have to make sure this establishment closes down for good."
