I fought against the many arms restraining me. I tried to claw my way past their porcelain arms.
"Princess it is not safe..." I heard many cries echo.
"She is a wild Licnine..." I heard even more voices add.
I couldn't care less what they thought of my little friend. Sweet little Ny-An would never hurt me, she was not a savage Licnine. That thought gave me strength and I used everything I had.
I broke free from them, bursting into the centre and seized ahold of Ny-An trying to free her.
"She's from my tribe," I shouted over the din, "I hired her to be my handmaiden." They didn't relent, I bit my tongue and added, "She's here as my servant."
The talking stopped abruptly. Apparently, that made more sense to them then her being my kin.
King Onyx came through the crowd and approached us. I stood in front of Ny-An taking a fighting stance without realizing it. I pushed her behind me and tensed myself.
