Chapter 60 - Ceremony

I awoke to being lightly shaken.

"Princess Lit," I heard an urgent whisper, "It's time to get dressed for todays festival."

I opened my eyes and saw Ann and Addy leaning over me. Addy put a hand to my cheek.

"All you need to do is stand up, we'll handle the rest," She assured me.

They got me into a standing position and I yawned loudly.

They made me put my arms out so they could drape clothing over me.

"What is today's theme?" I asked, hoping they would not say exotic.

"We're going with something more sophisticated," Addy replied, she spun me around and I was facing a large mirror. The dress I wore was flowing, almost cocktail party style. It accentuated my curves making me look much older.

"It's a bit-" I made a face, "It makes me look-"

"You don't like it?" Addy asked, I could sense I was hurting her feelings. I tried to go for a lighter comment.

Mother beat me to it.
