It was already 2 years since Aldric learned to swing a knife.

Walking out of the building of the Healer Union that evening, Agatha had a proud smile on her face as she swaggered out while holding the boy's hand.
Aldric's keen ears heard a few of the whispers as the other healers and applicants gossiped, but he acted like he heard nothing, obediently following his mom as they left the building.

For a 5-year old, a power rating of E rank was just crazy considering that new players started with an overall power rating of FF rank.
Despite the fact that he was not even trying and decided to spend his childhood like every normal child, enjoying it, Aldric was still far exceptional than the normal child in Oakwood Town.
Through his 100x rewards SSS-Rank skill, with the little that he did, he managed to level up to level 6 already, just 4 levels behind his father, Ethan.
Since 2 years ago, Ethan already leveled up twice, now at level 10.
His power rating was now at E too, having caught up with his wife.
In Dragon Souls, a character's power rating is determined by a lot of things, the most important being personal power or ability, innate potential, and then territory or number and power of subordinates if you had any.
Dragon Souls was also a kingdom building game. Players had myriad ways of getting experience points, from killing beasts, killing NPC characters, completing missions, and also developing your territory.
For now, Aldric ignored all of that as he focused on his family.
Getting home, Agatha quickly discovered that 3 of her other children were not home yet. She raged. "Oliver, Caleb, and Sullivan, where are they now?!"
"Don't worry mom, let me go look for them".
Quickly running out to go look for his brothers, Aldric already had an idea of where the 3 of them was. "Sullivan is most likely already getting into trouble again".
"As for Oliver and Caleb, they're definitely in the forest hunting for game".
Aldric focused on finding Sullivan first and he was right, he soon found his brother.
"What?! Y-your mother is the whore, bastard!"
"Hehehe," a group of kids of similar age surrounded Sullivan, mocking him. "At least, my mother didn't go outside to sleep with another man".
They laughed loudly.
"A-Aldric is my brother".
"Huh? Really?" They touched his black hair, fiddling it. "Your whole family, including your mom has black hair, I wonder where the genius got his silver hair from". He chuckled. "Your mother's plaything, if I should guess".
Thud!
Hearing that sound, all the kids quickly turned to look and then they became pale in panic. "Aldric is coming!"
Immediately, they broke away and started running.
Aldric sighed. 'Children of nowadays, I wonder where they learned to start saying things like this'.
