"Really? Tonight, I want to eat lobster!" Frank and Nick had just come downstairs when Nick excitedly replied upon hearing Qin Li's words.
"It's absolutely true. Tonight, I'm treating, and Frank is paying!" Qin Li waved his hand grandly. However, Frank wasn't fooled by Qin Li's language trap and gave him a black-line look.
Nick, not catching on immediately, shouted in excitement, "Yay! Father pays, and Father's buying lobster!" Only after shouting did he suddenly realize and awkwardly turned to Frank. "I'm not having lobster anymore, but can we get some normal shrimp?"
Qin Li walked over and gave Nick a playful knock on the head, then said grumpily, "So you feel sorry for your old man? Tonight, I'm paying! If you don't finish your lobster, watch out for your backside!"
Nick saluted Qin Li and pretended to be serious, saying, "Roger that, Commander! Mission will be completed!"
"Alright, let's get ready. We'll go shopping first, then head for the big meal. I'm covering all the costs tonight!"
With that, everyone began to prepare. Qin Li looked around but couldn't find Zheng Shangqi, so he asked, "Where's Shangqi?"
Nick paused and said, "Brother Shangqi is still in my room. We were playing video games together just now."
"Call him along. Otherwise, the guy will feel awkward." Qin Li waved his hand, signaling Nick to hurry up and ask.
"Okay, I'll go now!" Nick excitedly ran upstairs.
As the days passed, Tony Stark sent a message to Qin Li, saying that he was ready to showcase his Iron Man suit and invited him and his friends to come by and see it.
Looking at the message, Qin Li thought, "Has Mark 2 been completed sooner than expected? Well, it doesn't matter. I remember Tony was most excited when he first piloted Mark 2." Then he called out to everyone in the church, "Alright, everyone, prepare yourselves. We're going to Tony Stark's house to see the new suit!"
"Yay! *2" Both Nick and Jessica cheered. Nick just wanted to play games, while Jessica, being a party animal, was excited for the party.
They packed up two sets of clothes, grabbed their bags, and got ready to leave.
Soon, they boarded the private jet arranged by Tony Stark. While enjoying the luxuries of the rich, they flew quickly toward Stark's mansion.
The next morning, they arrived at Tony Stark's house. Happy, who came out specially to greet them, led the way to the living room. Once inside, Happy and Nick went off to play games, Jessica decided to go take some photos, and Frank went off to explore. Qin Li made his way down to the basement to find Tony Stark.
In the basement, Tony Stark was still focused on adjusting his suit when he hadn't noticed Qin Li's arrival. Qin Li looked at the old model reactor on the table and said, "Tony Stark, you've got a warm heart. I bet this wasn't made by you."
Tony Stark was startled by the sudden voice and looked up to see Qin Li. He put down the work he was holding and said, "Why couldn't it be me? Actually, this was made by Potts. I was going to toss it, but she insisted on keeping it." Tony's tone had a hint of pride.
"Oh~ Thinking about it, it makes sense. Only Potts would think of this. Meanwhile, anyone else would be wondering how much this piece with Stark's name can sell for," Qin Li said, giving Tony a teasing look as he stared at the old reactor in the box.
However, Tony Stark was unconcerned and replied, "I'll just take it as a compliment. It's mine anyway. Should I worry that someone might steal it to collect it?"
"That Potts lady is pretty good. Don't you have any thoughts?" Qin Li teased.
"Well, there's no rush, okay? Who am I? Tony Stark! I don't need to worry about such things." Tony paused for a moment before adding.
Qin Li shook his head helplessly at Tony's stubbornness and continued, "How's your little toy armor coming along?"
"Hey, it's a suit of armor, and it's pretty awesome. Come over and see," Tony Stark immediately shot back, but then thought about Qin Li's combat abilities and gestured for him to come closer to the computer.
Qin Li watched as the silver suit smoothly assembled and disassembled in the computer simulation. Even though he had seen something similar in movies before, seeing it in real life was still incredible.
"It really looks awesome. You've got everything a man could want: women, cars, and armor," Qin Li said in disbelief.
Hearing this, Tony Stark smiled with satisfaction and said, "Tonight's the night we test it out. I wanted you to come over to take a look and, when the time comes, give me a hand with the test."
"No problem, with me around, you've got nothing to worry about. But wait, you're testing it tonight? That fast? You just finished it…" Qin Li asked curiously. The progress was already ahead of the movie timeline, but testing it so quickly—was there any risk?
"To be honest, it wasn't that quick, but that juice you gave me was great. Not only did it improve my mental state, but it sparked a ton of ideas. That's why I was able to finish the suit so quickly." Tony Stark shrugged before his expression turned more serious. "Plus, I think I know who might be behind trying to harm me. So, I need some self-defense."
"Alright, if you need help, just let me know. By the way, can this suit fly into space?" Qin Li nodded and asked.
"I haven't thought about that yet. The suit has oxygen supply to deal with toxic gas. But you've got a good point. I'll add that to the next version," Tony Stark replied thoughtfully.
"Well, be careful. Flying too high could cause the suit to freeze and fall apart," Qin Li reminded him, recalling the scene in the movie where the armor froze at high altitude.
Tony Stark's expression changed, and he immediately called out, "Jarvis, simulate the suit's performance at high altitudes."
"Got it, Mr. Stark," Jarvis responded. A virtual screen appeared before Qin Li and Tony Stark, showing the suit flying toward high altitude. As the height increased, frost started to form on the suit, and eventually, it became completely covered in ice and uncontrollable, falling to the ground.
"Jarvis, take note of that. I don't want to crash from 10,000 meters tonight," Tony Stark said nervously, watching the simulation of the suit falling uncontrollably from a great height.
