Chapter 7 - Sudden Urge

Tim was already tired of everyone referring to him as a kid. he suddenly had the urge to kill the guard for calling him a kid, and to vent out his frustration.

He shook the urge off, as his logical reasoning saw no benefit for killing a guard just because of a word.

The treasury room, where the organization stored their prized weapons and equipment's. Tim definitely knew that most, if not all of the equipment's were stolen or forcefully seized by the organization.

After growing up in the organization for the past 13 years guilt was the last thing Tim ever felt, which was a far cry from the behaviour one would expect from a 13 year old.

" I am here to acquire a weapon based on my accumulated achievements" Tim replied as he brought out a purple badge with a snake symbol.

The guard's eyes widened. All members of the organization knew the special attention that Tim had from the higher up, but when he saw the purple badge, he thought that he attained it duly because of special treatments.

'Yet another ignorant one thinking that I have it easy' he thought angrily. "Open the door, I have no time to waste "Tim yelled.

What was the purple badge? It was the highest ranking authority badge in the organization ranking just below the Aks members that could even grant the beholder almost anything including a favour from the leader himself.

Off course the favour from the leader was something that could only be granted based on the mood of the leader.

The guard immediately complied and opened the treasury room. Inside the room different weapons and equipment's were arranged in order of their grade from the lowest grade to the highest grade. Wasting no time Tim went to the end of the room and picked the highest grade blade.

"You can take the blade to the appraiser to appraise it for you" the guard suggested. "No need" Tim replied quickly.

Not that it mattered if he gets the blade appraised or not, he will still be unable to use the skill of the blade because of his un-awakened status.

Tim just picked the highest grade weapon simply because he needed something really durable and sharp against the Saber Liger, having practiced with normal blade Tim knew that the regular blade he uses were no match against the skin of a 4 star beast.

Studying the blade, he noticed how heavy the blade was, and that it had black colour that started from the hilt of the blade to the very tip of the blade. He tested the sharpness of the blade against his own skin, and the blade immediately drew blood upon the slightest contact with his skin.

Suddenly his spilled blood evaporated, and the vapor started getting absorbed into the sword. 'Huh, that is a nice trick. It is probably a passive skill of the blade that does not need an external source of energy to trigger it' he analysed.

When the guard saw the evaporated blood go into the blade, he could not resist his curiosity, forgetting the difference in status and authority between them, he grabbed the hand Tim was using to hold the blade and tried to observe it better.

The repressed urge that Tim had suppressed suddenly came back.

With his blood boiling because of the sudden disrespect by the guard, Tim's logical reasoning could not win again at this point.

He suddenly used his left hand to hit the guard's elbow from below, which released the guards grip on his hand.

In a swift motion, Tim used the newly released hand to swing the blade, hard and fast towards the head of the guard.

The guard, who was close to becoming a master saw the incoming swing, but it was something that he could just see and not defend against properly due to the speed of the swing.

SWISHH!.

The eyes of the guard widened. The guard wanted to utter something, but he could not as his head suddenly fell from his body.

Looking at the corpse of the guard that just died he felt no guilt. Tim was just worried about the hard evidence, the guard's corpse, but the event that happened in the next moment shocked Tim.

The corpse of the guard suddenly started to evaporate and flow towards the blade that he was holding. The blade absorbed the vapor of the guard, the same way a large drainage will absorb a pool of water.

'This is oddly convenient' Tim thought as the entire corpse, including the spilled blood were all absorbed into the blade.

If the same environment was inspected by a group of investigators at this same moment, they will not find even a single shred of evidence that someone died in the environment.

That was good, the supposed blade cleaned up the place. 'This is bothersome. What should I say or tell them? Well, I could just say I met the treasury open with nobody guarding the place. No that is not reasonable.

I will just say I got my weapon, and I left. Hmm why don't I help myself to some extra equipment it would not hurt to try.' Rim thought, as he entered the treasury and started to search for anything that would be worth his while.

Tim not having an appraisal skill just went down the treasury room, which had the highest rated equipment's. He went to the exact shelf, that previously contained his pitch black blade. On that same shelf contained 3 other items: a ring, a cloak, and a book.

The ring he had an idea of what it was, at least he knew that the ring was used as some sort of storage device, that could sometimes have almost an unlimited storage space with little restriction depending on the grade of the ring.

The cloak, he had a faint idea on the general skill description of the cloak. He knew that during high grade missions the Aks council wear a similar looking cloak, if Aks 3 were to see the cloak currently on the rack, he would recognize it as the exact cloak he wore for the mission to the Dunim's city elite's graveyard.
