I just came back from Cabin, feeling excited. But the presence of Max here would not allow me to rest. Thus, mixed feelings are still running in my thoughts.

Why can he not allow me to be on my own?

The drive back from the cabin was not peaceful anymore.

I gazed through the window, noticing the trees fade into a wave of green as the vehicle raced along the highway. 

The weekend was not exactly what I required: peace, and tranquility, were what I expected without any drama. However, rather than feeling any kind of turmoil, I felt more conflicted than ever.

Alex had been truthful, so truthful it stung. He had presented everything outlined in his desires and entrusted the decision to me. 

It was the type of honesty I frequently claimed I desired. Yet, in some way, it only increased the burden weighing heavily on me.

Because if I were truthful with myself, I wasn't prepared to make that decision.
