"What's behind it?" Garis asked.
He also raised his hands signaling that we weren't looking for a fight.
The man didn't answer directly. Instead he turned his attention to Lucan.
"What's that thing you're building? Planning to shatter another iceberg with it?"
Lucan froze with his tools still in hand. Arlen quickly moved to help him pack everything up. The tension in the air was thick as the men tightened their grips on their weapons.
"Let's just leave," Caleb said while stepping forward. "We don't want any trouble here."
We made our way to the staircase even with their gaze sticking to us. Before we ascended my eyes caught a faint glimmer from where the men had been standing. A small gap in the wall led deeper into the cave.
"Run ahead. I'll catch up," I whispered.
