"Wake up!" Kael's voice echoed as he nagged.
I buried my face deeper into the bed, my eyes still swollen. It's been three days since we last met.
"If I knew you'd turn into this, I wouldn't have taken you to the fragment orbs room," he said with a sigh.
"It's not like that," I muttered while sitting up slowly.
"Then what is it?" he sat directly in front of me and leaning in so close that his face was inches from mine.
My face grew hot, couldn't tell if it was from crying so much or the fact that he was sitting so close to me.
"I'll show you something better. Now get ready."
He stood and signaled to the maids waiting outside before leaving the room.
The maids swooped in to helping me prepare myself.
Soon we were standing in the middle of a vast field. Ahead of us was a massive door leading to a huge dome.
Kael pinched my cheeks with both hands and pulled them into a forced smile.
"Smileee!" he teased.
