Chapter 6 - 06

"I'm currently trying to find accommodation in those residences," indicating a few distant houses.

The first to respond was Eveline, with her low-pitched voice and lovely brown eyes. She glanced at her friends, a nuanced expression that said a lot. "Please give us a little time so that we can all talk about this." Her tone was direct and unambiguous as she asked.

Ryūta nodded, realizing the importance of privacy. He took a step back to give them privacy as his sharp gaze scanned the scene. Even though they had only recently met him, there was something unique about Ryūta; he seemed like a nice guy.

The muttering started as soon as his back was turned. The girls huddled into a close circle, their heads bowed in silent discussion. He attempted to block out the soft murmur of their conversations, concentrating instead on the sound of grass rustling and the distant cry of a chilly wind. He was careful not to intrude.

The argument was held inside the circle. With a gentle, almost childlike tone, Lilly, whose delicate figure was almost hidden by the pleats of a hooded dress, spoke up over the others.

"Don't you all think he is weird?" she said, her normally expressive bright green eyes clouded by suspicion.

The fact that her hood was covering her beautiful, blond hair. Her clock was so worn out that it could almost call off clothing.

Eveline didn't look at Lilly when she spoke, her eyes focused on the ground. "That's not how I see him."

She raised her head to stare into Emily's eyes. "What are your thoughts, Emily?"

Beside her, Emily twitched a lock of silky black hair that hung over her shoulder. She listened to the conversation with guarded crimson eyes that seemed to be on the verge of tears.

Her red dragon tail peeked out from the edge of her light blue dress, a basic piece of rough cloth that contrasted oddly with the slight glitter of scales visible at the skirt. Before speaking, she gave serious thought to what she would say.

Emily said in a low, sobbing voice, "He set us free; that is not what other people do."

Her eyes must be watering because of the painful recalls of her past.

Mia Who knows, "he might win our faith and then do something nasty; it has happened to us numerous times, don't you all remember?" asked a girl.

All of the girls appear to be a little down after hearing Mia's remarks.

Of all the girls, Mia has the white, medium-length hair that seems clean but not quite. Her blue eyes, which resemble the ocean, seem a little frustrated. Her brows match the color of her hair, and her lips are a little dry. She is wearing a blue dress and a pendant necklace in the shape of sea waves.

Eveline says in a pleading tone, "I know we've been through a lot, but I feel like this guy is nice. I'm not sure how I can convince you all of that. In the event that he wants to do something with us, he already has it; he bought us. If he gave us a command, we would be forced to comply, but he chose to free us instead."

With her pondering features illuminated by the sunlight, Althaea furrowed her forehead in intense thought. "I have to confess,"

She said in a tone full of shock, "I can't imagine how he managed to do that. Crafted from the most sinister magic and infused with spells meant to restrain the most powerful wills, the collar is made to withstand even the most powerful energies."

She appears to be rather knowledgeable about slave collars."But in his hands, he broke it as if it were a piece of fragile glass, a little toy. Despite the fact that it is impossible, he managed to make it appear effortless." The mystery of his incredible strength weighed heavily on her words as they floated in the air.

Emily added, "How about we take him up on his offer and, in any case, head that way to find a place to stay the night? If he tries to do anything, we'll fight him together."

Emily was wiping tears from her cheeks and getting over them.

"Each of us possesses an affinity for magic, and Althaea is a master in hands-on combat."

All of the girls gave each other a nod, and they all turned to face Ryūta, who was sitting on the grass as he rested both palms on the grass and gazed up at the blue, vast sky and the floating clouds.

Eveline said to Ryūta, "Pardon me, sir."

Upon hearing the sound from behind him, Ryūta looks back. He sees all the girls standing next to each other faceing him.

"We have all agreed to accept your offer and would be delighted to travel with you."

"We're all the same age, so you don't need to call me sir; you can just call me Ryūta." Ryūta smiled and got to his feet.
