The forest loomed before them, its towering trees twisted and gnarled as though corrupted by some unseen force. A thick fog clung to the ground, swirling ominously with every step the strike team took. Kade stood at the rear of the group, watching as his commanders moved silently through the mist. Thadric led the way, his massive frame cutting an imposing path, while Selyna melted into the shadows on their flanks. Elvara walked with quiet grace, her silver hair glimmering faintly in the dim light as the hum of her magic kept the group on edge.
Kade, however, shuffled nervously at the back, gripping the hilt of a sword he had barely learned to carry.
"Why am I even here? I should be back at the castle pretending to be smart. This is no place for me. I'm supposed to look intimidating, not stomp through spooky forests."
