When she was out of the company she boarded a taxi to her residence, pressing the pin to her home the door unlocked .she went straight to her room changed her cloth then went to the kitchen to prepare what she will eat. Opening the freezer door what she saw made her speechless, there was no food at all it was only filled with water and drinks . Feeling disappointed,she dialed a certain number on her mobile .hello ,how may I help you? the other person on the line asked .is this Beckett foods ? Yes ma'am what would you like to order ? Good , can I get macaroni , egg sauce, box of chicken and also rice . It is available ma'am . Send your address it will be delivered shortly maam .Thanks ,after sending her address she end the call.not quite long the food was delivered.after she was through eating she went to bed . At exactly 2 pm sharp she was awoken by her sister voice .Elsa is that you? How was the interview? Elsa asked , it went well all that matters is the acceptance . Am starving ,I can smell the aroma of food are you cooking no I ordered.The rest is in the refrigerator make sure to keep some for Jason am sure he would be famished when he arrive. Macaroni again Elsa complained ,I'm craving hmm…do not flatter yourself darling I don't have a dime with me , I spent my last dime on the food so just eat in peace . Elsa pouting,why don't you go get yourself a job instead ," I can't believe you want me to get a job , a high school student aren't you too cruel ? .where are you going? Elsa asked , going to bed of course , you really need to get a job cause you are lazing around too much or give marriage a trial .Elsa shaking her head at her suggestions , oh right you are single but I could set you up with someone or rather you go on blind dates my home room teacher is single and he is really handsome you two could blend together. Three days passed and still she wasn't notified yet . Feeling hopeless and miserable all day ,she was totally broke thinking of how to pay for her siblings tuition ,house rent and feeding also . Her parent is no more ,she is the bread winner of the family being the eldest of three siblings all responsibilities were solely on her .After her parents passed away in a tragic accident her father's family refuse to take them as their responsibilities instead they sold her father's property leaving them only with the house they lived in which she herself eventually sold to be able to take care of some of their expenses .
Still in her trance ,she received a notification on her phone checking it ,she was dumbfounded,she had been accepted to work as the secretary of L& K company.which comes with other offer a fixed salary and more . Her resumption date was to resume the next Monday her joy knew no bound as she celebrates with her siblings and friends .
First day at work
It was morning , Olympia got up from her bed feeling happy she had a quick bath singing and beaming in joy also feeling nervous for it would be her first day at work .confused about the kind of cloth to wear how she have to appear. After many pick and reject she eventually choose a blue jeans with a white top that reaches arm length . Feeling proud of how she looks in the mirror. She sprayed some cologne tied her hair into a ponytail put on her shoe with a fancy bag she stepped out Making sure she did not forget anything . After several minutes in the car , the car finally came to an halt . Looking at the immaculate building in front of her she couldn't wish for anything more . Snapping out of her trance she stepped into the building greeted by the receptionist who welcomed her last time . How are you ? The receptionist asked . Am fine I replied , glad you got the job she said . Take the elevator at your left side you will be directed to your office this is the card pointing it to me I took it . Thank you I said ,it my pleasure she replied and by the way am Olympia stevens trying to make friends with her am Ella bronze she replied. Nice meeting you I said then I went as she had directed me to . Getting to the elevator I met Other co-workers which we took turn in introducing ourselves. On getting to my space I was amused at how everything looks nice and arranged in an orderly manner . Knock ,knock, come in I said wondering who it was .Hi , I'm Sarah goodwill the office assistant I would keep you updated on how things work here making sure you dutifully adjust to the environment . We talked for a while briefing me on the company the ceo ,his assistant and also other co - workers in the company.After finally adjusting to what she said , she bid me good bye .
Du , du ,du , The office phone rang . Hello she said ,Picking it up immediately . Be up here in two minutes understanding it was her boss she quickly left everything she was doing to attend to him getting to the door she knocked but receive no permission after knocking severally she was asked to enter. On getting in she was dumbstruck with the people she saw one was her boss and the other was his assistant the one Sarah told her about . They were so breathtaking especially her boss he was cute with his model like figure and shaped face just like he was sculptured . With his shirt alone and his frequent irritation with his tie anyone could fall immediately. His personal assistance was not bad either he was handsome itself . Working amidst two handsome men .OMG,what sort of test is this? . Hugh , clearing her thought she announced she was in nodding her head at the assistant who kept a poker face on . Sir , she calledshhhhh *she was shunned immediately by her boss . Feeling stupid at his behavior she looked at the assistant to see any bit of reaction on his face but as expected to what Sarah said he didn't even blink once is expression was just as before . It was rumored he does not laugh or smile and he does not talk or else it has to do with business and lastly he was really unfriendly . After what seems like forever he ended the call taking a deep breath removing his tie he looked at her . Haven't you been taught to remain silent when others are on call he voiced out angrily.Am sorry sir she apologized .looking away have you adjusted the file I gave you asking his P.A . Yes sir , Am done bringing the file forward . You may take your leave he said to his assistant after checking the file .leaving only me and him in the room . Over here he motioned, taking the file from his hand wondering what it was those are my rules if you want to keep your job and I won't tolerate any slight mistake from you he said sternly and none of my rules must be violated.
