"No, fuck the authorities. Both of us just witnessed a miracle tonight. This girl saved us and you want to turn her over to the authorities now, no way. Do you really think that they would treat her well if they caught their hands on her. You know how the government even saved those scientists from the infamous Japanese Unit 731 after the war. They didn't care about all the horrible shit that they had done or all the people they had killed and tortured in their sick experiments. The government only cares about gaining more power over all and they will stop at nothing and they will go to any extent to gain more of it. So no, we absolutely cannot tell the authorities about her. We keep her secret with ourselves and we keep her safe no matter what. We owe her our lives after all."
"Oh, don't get so worked up about it Eric. I merely wanted to make sure of how you felt about her. Of course I'm not handing her off to anyone. I mean just look at the sweet little thing sleeping in my arms. Isn't she just the cutest little angel ever. She's even cuter than those little baby angels in all those depictions of heaven. Ooh, how I could just keep her here in my arms forever and ever, then I could die happy."
"Don't speak like that. You're not dying anytime soon now. I mean I don't even think you qualify for retirement now, you barely look any older than fifty."
"Ooh, stop it. Your gonna make me blush young man."
"No, I'm serious. Kristy your gorgeous and I think you could even find yourself a new young man if you wanted to."
"Hihihi, hmm, you wouldn't happen to have some strapping fine, young, military man in mind for me now would you? Hihihi!"
Lili could hear the man and woman speaking to each other and then break into a loud awkward laughter. She couldn't help, but felt a bit annoyed by them both as she turned to her side and tried to find a more comfortable position. She felt so comfortable there with her head between two saggy, but large feeling breasts. She could so clearly feel the person's calm heartbeat and her hands felt so loving as they held her lightly.
"Ooh, looks like someone's starting to wake up. Hey Lili, can you hear me? It's already morning and we have breakfast waiting for you if you want some?"
Hearing the sweet sounding woman say breakfast, Lilis little button nose immediately sniffed the air and instantly picked up a faint scent of something mouth wateringly good.
Slowly her eyes started to open and she did a little yawn and a stretch in the woman's lap. And as she looked up she was surprised to see a light blue eyed, somewhat white haired wrinkly old woman looking at her.
She thought of panicking at the sight of her, why was she in her arms, why was she so close to this stranger that she didn't know. But seeing her gentle, but worried smile and those eyes that looked at her with such care, she couldn't help but feel at ease as she asked. "Who are you?"
Showing a gentle smile towards her the woman then said. "Oh, I'm Kristy Westfield, and that big man over there is Eric Borg. His the man you saved last night from doing something really stupid. And we are now at my old place up in the mountain valley close to lake Mansfield." Saying this the old woman then gently started to comb her hair as she looked to the big bearded man named Eric.
Indeed this man looked really big, he was even a bit taller than Alex's father and this man had some fat to him, which made him seem quite large and intimidating. She had seen him in the dark last night with her magical eyes, but this was the first time that she was seeing him so clearly and she was impressed. Men were truly big, and it never ceased to amaze her.
Smiling lightly at her, Eric then asked. "So Lili, right? What exactly brings you here anyway? Just who are you and how did you make your hands glow like that exactly?"
After saying this the woman named Kristy suddenly snapped back at the man saying. "Eric, you can't ask that. Whatever she did is only for her to know and her alone. We should not question her on it, just be grateful that she did what she did and leave it at that."
Eric seemed distressed as he heard this and immediately lowered his head to her and apologised. "Oh, you're right. I'm sorry Lili, I, I shouldn't have asked such a thing. Mmm, but you were looking for the Library right, so if you wish I could take you there now. It's already half past twelve so the Libra is open now."
Hearing this Lili wanted to immediately reply, but the woman snapped back at Eric again and said. "No way young man. This little lady needs to eat first before anything, she also could use a good long bath and then we need to find her some pants and shoes also. Only then can we go to the library. I will not have her running around in her underwear like this."
Looking up at the woman, Lili felt confused as she said. "But I'm not in my underwear, these are boxers."
Hearing this the woman merely raised an eyebrow at her and said. "No, that is boys underwear that you're wearing. It's even got that thing in the front to prove it. That's not for girls young lady. Now do as I say and eat."
Lili was stunned, was she really wearing underwear. So boxers were the same as underwear and they were only for boys? Wow, she felt so informed now. Truly there were so many strange things she still needed to learn here and so she didn't resist the nice ladies orders and did as she was told to do.
After that she ate what was called an American breakfast with eggs, bacon and toasted bread, plus a glass of milk. And it was good, although even as she thought this she still couldn't help but feel that there was just something a little bit off about the food. Something bad got into her system, but luckily her passive healing got rid of it quickly and so she was safe.
She wanted to say something about it to the two nice commoners, but they didn't seem to mind the food so she merely decided to observe them for now in silence.
After that she was led to the small bathroom with a white bathtub. There she was undressed by Kristy and they both got into the warm water together. Kristy gently scrubbed her all over, especially her hair, as she did the same to Kristy as well then.
From there they moved to drying themselves and their hair, and Kristy showed her a few nice ways to tie her hair so that it looked good and didn't get in the way. In the end Kristy tied her own into a simple pony tail as she called it, and then Lili got her hair tied into two twintails as Kristy called it, and Lili liked the look.
Getting dressed then and heading out into the house, Eric then got in the bathroom and started to bathe on his own. Seeing it, Lili asked. "Why didn't Eric come bathe with us?"
Although it seemed like a strange thing to her, after all Eric was nice and he already felt like a friend. So wouldn't it be just fine to bathe together? But Kristy didn't seem to think so at all, as she quickly gasped at her comment and started to explain how men and women are not to be seen naked together ever. Only once one got married could they then be naked together apparently.
And apparently even exposing too much skin was really bad. Especially for her as she was apparently just too cute, so she needed to be careful or else men might get bad ideas or something.
Once again Lili felt so informed. She knew some of these things, but why was it bad to show ones self to men, this she wasn't too sure about. The Sargent and his men never seemed to be faced at all by her nakedness, they didn't even flinch at the sight of her, and the Sargent even once called her flat like the Little Betties armoured back side. The comment made her feel sad for Little Betty, but herself as well. She did eventually add some armour to that part of the Little Betty, as she grew a bit herself, but she still wasn't apparently big enough even then.
After that Kristy showed her many things and explained so much to her. She learned that apparently Eric used to be a first lieutenant who fought with Kristy's now dead son in a war on the other side of the world. She also learned that the men were serving the army of the United States. Which did explain their poor equipment to her and their primitive weaponry somewhat.
From what she knew the Empire was vast. So there were obviously some backwater planets that had gotten separated from the Empire over time. After all Demons were not the only threat that kept besieging mankind's territories. And so it did make sense that this planet was quite primitive and unknowing of the Empire.
But more than anything she felt really confused now. Just where in the galaxy was she at? According to Kristy this was the United States of America, so it wasn't heaven then? Heaven was supposed to have angels defending it, but this place only had low tech mortal men as it's defenders. Eric and Kristy were also nothing special, they held no powers within them, they were just regular humans and definitely not nobles by the looks of them. Eric might have been a first lieutenant here, but that in her eyes wasn't much.
If the Sargent came here with his friends and the Little Betty, then these primitive men of Eric would for sure be toast. Their weapons simply couldn't do any fatal damage to a imperial soldier and especially the Little Betty.
So from all of this she could only then surmise that the place in the valley was definitely not Eden, but a lush mountain valley of some kind. Although she wasn't too sure of this yet. She first needed to see more of this land and the Library, and then maybe she could make a real conclusion of what and where this place really was.
Then with Lili dressed in her white outfit, Kristy wearing a simple summer dress and Eric looking good in his tight jeans, boots and loose shirt they were ready to go.
With Eric getting into the driver's seat and Kristy sitting next to him, Lili took a seat on Kristy's lap. Putting on the seatbelt, they then headed off in the rusty old truck.
While Eric drove them down the mountain valley road Lili could see many small houses along the way. houses that ranged from many one story, nice wooden houses, to some nicer two story wooden houses and a few really nice wooden houses that had three stories to them. And the further down the road they went the nicer the houses and their cars got, until finally they arrived in a town called Stowe, or well apparently the whole ride down the mountain valley road was also apart of the town. So they had been technically in the town all along.
The town was small, but nice and peaceful looking. There were apparently only 5000 or so people in the area and they were all spread around quite spaciously. Which was quite a surprise to Lili, after all such a number was barely enough to occupy a small section of the ruined city where she had lived in the past.
There also used to be manufacturing in Stowe, such as the Tubbs Snowshoe factory, but it apparently closed in 2009 and moved its manufacturing overseas like so many other factories. Because of this the towns population is not doing as well as many others that have manufacturing.
But nonetheless the little town looked nice. Driving along the road Kristy was sure to commentate on all the things there of note. In between the forests and the small rolling hills, there were a lot of fields next to the roadside with farmhouses there. There was even a small building with five different sized tennis courts there, and another house with a small outdoor swimming pool. After that as they went further down the road she could see Stowe High School, which she remembered was the place that Alex was supposed to go after middle school. Or well she wasn't a hundred percent sure, but whatever.
And then finally after a while of driving they came to a more densely housed area with bars, restaurants and a clothing store called the yellow turtle that they were apparently heading to. It was a long two story wooden building with five businesses side by side, but in the center of it was the yellow turtle.
And as the truck came to a stop in the parking lot with ten other cars parked there, Lili finally saw the sign clearly. And that's when Kristy pointed to the picture of the strange animal there in the center of the yellow sign and asked. "Lili, do you know what that is?"
Sadly Lili had never seen such a thing before and knew not what the signs words really meant, she only knew the word yellow, but what was a turtle, this she didn't know. But thinking about it for a second she then decided to make an educated guess and say. "Is it a turtle?"
Immediately as she said this Kristy cheered and said. "Yes Lili, well done. Yes indeed it is a turtle just like it says on that sign, see. Now can you read it out loud to me?"
Hearing the question, an immediate chill ran through her spine and she fell into a little panic. She couldn't really read it, she could guess it. After all Kristy just said it, but that would be just wrong. So with her head lowered she felt a shamed as she quietly said. "I I, I can't read this text."
She could read the imperial record and text, but not this. Maybe with time, but she was all out of time now. So she prepared herself for the mocking laughter that was sure to come. She waited, but no laughter came.
Kristy merely patted her on the head lightly and said. "Ooh, it's ok Lili. I'll teach you. You're a smart girl, I'm sure you'll learn how to read in no time. Hmm, and I guess I'll teach you how to write and do all the other things also. How's that sound?"
Eyes wide Lili looked to Kristy and asked. "Really?"
Nodding her head Kristy happily said. "Yes of course. After all it's the least that I can do for my little saviour."
From there on Lili kept on spelling out the letters as Kristy showed her what each and every letter was, and how those letters were to be spelled correctly. Finally Lili started to understand these letters, they made sense and were quite simple indeed.
And only after a long while of doing this did they hop out of the truck and start heading inside the store. Entering the place Lili was immediately met with many colourful yellow turtle soft toys, teddy bears, lions, unicorns, a shark and so many other soft toys as well. There was a seemingly huge selection of dresses, pants, underwear and all sorts of clothes for babies, kids, tweens, and teens.
And to her left, behind the small Indian tent there was a nice lady who happily waved to them in a greeting and welcomed them to the store. Seeing it all Lili was amazed and was immediately dragged off by Kristy to go try out all sorts of different clothes.
Besides the clerk, there was only a single mother and daughter in the shop, but quickly Lili realised that all eyes were on her. And quickly as they tried out the clothes the clerk came to say. "Oh my god, isn't she just the cutest little thing. Is she your granddaughter? What's your name sweetie."
Seeing the woman looking at her with such excitement in her eyes and hearing her say that she was cute. Lili blushed a little in embarrassment, and then before she could answer Kristy spoke up saying. "Ooh thank you. Indeed she's my granddaughter and I'm the luckiest grandma to have such a sweet little thing with me. Now why don't you introduce yourself to this nice young woman."
Confused Lili looked to Kristy and saw her winking at her and that's when Lili figured it out. Showing a nice smile to the clerk Lili happily said. "I'm Lili, Kristys granddaughter."
Eric merely stood to the side watching the whole situation carefully like a soldier guarding his position. He didn't seem too interested in the whole shopping thing and so Lili and Kristy continued trying out clothes now with the clerk there for assistance.
For a good few hours they went through, dresses, hoodies, hoodies with ears, jeans, underwear, t-shirt, summer hats, sunglasses and many different types of shoes. And finally Lili landed on something familiar that she recognised somewhat. She picked herself a white and pink coloured outfit, with a cap that had a cat logo, a white shirt, a pink and white hoodie with the cat logo, similar type of loose pants and white sneakers.
She also picked herself the white dress with the soft flipflops and a big women's summer hat. And lastly she decided to put on something called a cowgirl outfit which she liked for its freedom and mobility.
Feeling satisfied Lili then watched in wonder as Kristy took all the things to the counter, and then the clerk started to use a gun like thing that made a beep sound as she moved it on the clothes. She could also see a dollar counter rise on a small screen on the table. From 32, to 66, to a 80, 110, 180, 240, and lastly 295 dollars.
Seeing it Lili immediately recognised it, just the day before they had almost gotten that many dollar donations. Then she saw Kristy take out a card, place it into the machine and then tap in a few numbers.
The clerk smiled, gave a paper called a receipt, Kristy thanked the clerk and Lili was made to do the same as they then left. Dressed in her cowgirl outfit Lili felt confused again as she looked to Kristy who was putting all the things into the truck.
Thinking on it for a moment Lili decided to just let it be and just observe for now, as they then finally drove off towards the library.
For kilometres upon kilometres they drove past the same type of fields and sparsely populated areas, until they finally exited The town of Stowe, went past another small town called Morrisville and then came to the neighboring town called Hyde Park. And there she saw it, the library.
Although it was not exactly what Lili had expected. Thinking back on the ruins she had seen in her past, she could recall many long stone steps leading up to a huge double door, with huge stone columns at the sides of the Library. The place had been ruined and destroyed almost completely, but even it's ruins were awe inspiring and huge.
But this place called Lanpher Memorial Library was basically just a big bigger than Alex's house. It did look nice outside with its brick walls, small high windows, and a nice stone path leading up to a good-looking wooden door. It was like everything else in the town, really nice and comfy looking. But it just wasn't quite what she had expected.
Nonetheless Lili hopped out the car and started to head inside with Kristy and Eric following behind. And once again as Lili opened the door she was immediately met by sparkling eyes of the clerk at the front desk in the middle of the small comfy Library.
Stepping further inside Lili could see two comfy sofas with three old ladies sitting there talking amongst themselves. And between them was a small low table and next to the wall was a big fireplace, and all around shelf's filled with books.
Then to her right there was a nice round table with four chairs around it and all along the walls there was also again more bookshelfs. And next to the front desk there she could see three computers and two girls on two of those computers.
Though she came for the books here, she couldn't resist but go look at the girls. For it was her first time seeing a girl with actual red hair. Which technically then qualified as her then learning something new as well.
Walking in behind the two, she could see them both looking intensely into one of the computer screens where she could see herself playing that shooting game in Alex's home. The girls seemed awed by the video of her shooting those towel head people, but she was only awed by the red hair.
Getting in close to the girls right side, she couldn't help but run her hand through the girls long and red pigtails. The girl immediately stiffened at her touch, as the smaller short blonde haired girl immediately reacted and yelled. "Hey, don't do that! You jerk!"
The little girl that was a few centimetres shorter than her hopped off her chair and came to Lilis side, showing a cute pouting face at her.
Seeing it Lili couldn't help but smile as she quickly took her hand off if the red haired girl and took a step backwards. She could feel all the eyes in the Library now on them, Eric and Kristy were right at the door watching.
And then the short blonde haired girls expression turned to amazement, she gasped and placed one hand on her mouth as she then said. "Ah, no way. Your Lili."
Suddenly the girl turned super excited as she grabbed Lilis hand and looked to her friend saying. "Look Elsa, it's Lili from YouTube."
Now the red haired girl named Elsa gasped as well and shyly bowed her head as she said. "Mmh, it's, it's nice to meet you. I'm Elsa Rose, age 14 and I'm a big fan of your and Alex's videos."
The short haired blondie nodded her head and looked to Lili then saying. "Mm huh, me too. I'm Anna Belanov, age 14 as well, although I might not look like it. Mmm, so we were wondering just how do you do it? How do you get your mind, core and body connected so that you become fast like that? We heard you mention it in your first live stream, but what does it mean? Could you show us, we want to play as good as you too. Oh or maybe we could be a team? Oh, please, could we? Mmm, you see we were thinking of forming a team. and maybe we could be a team. And not just any team but the best team in the world that has girls. A real pro team you know? I mean, mmm, wouldn't that just be so cool?"
The girls eyes seemed to be sparkling as she then suddenly stopped and looked away saying. "Oh, mm, I'm sorry. I get carried away sometimes. It's just that, well you know."
Looking at the girls Lili could not feel any cores within them. They like everyone here were just regular humans. But that didn't mean that she couldn't make them faster, plus having a team of good people on her side did sound nice and so she said.
"Hmm, well sadly it is not possible for me to help you with your cores as you have none. But I can still make you faster, and yes I would love to make a team with you. I like friends."
The blonde girl's eyes started sparkling with excitement and hope as she heard this, but the red haired girl seemed a bit concerned as she asked. "Mmm, so what's your relationship with Alex anyway. I mean, mm well you see. We go to the same school and all, so I was just."
Quickly the blonde girl interjected saying. "Oh, is Elsa worried that her future boyfriend Alex might be already taken, hmm?"
Hearing these words the red haired Elsa turned extremely red. Although Lili couldn't quite understand what was going on as she said. "His not taken. I might be Alex's girlfriend but you both can also be his girlfriends if you want. After all Alex is a pretty big boy and soon to be even bigger, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind having a few more girlfriends at his side."
Hearing Lilis words the whole library gasped, Eric and Kristy seemed horrified as did all the other adults. While both the girls turned red like tomatoes and their eyes went wide and mouths fell open in shock. But then Lili continued by saying. "Mmm, you see I'm Alex's only friend. So I'm sure he would really like it if he could get some more."
Hearing this the whole library quickly seemed to calm down as if understanding something now. But then the blonde Anna looked to Elsa with a devious smile and then looked back at Lili and said. "Hmm, well I don't think Elsa would mind sharing Alex with you at all, and maybe I could join in as well, hihihi."
Elsa gasped hearing this and seemed ready to protest, but Lili stepped in and put out her hand saying. "Ok, it's a deal then. Let's all be Alex's girlfriends then, and teammates."
The smaller Anna immediately showed a smile and shook Lilis hand. Elsa hesitated, but under the gaze of Anna she capitulated and took Lilis hand.
And before Lili even knew it she had managed to make two new friends and she had even gotten them to agree to be Alex's friends. She was sure that Alex would be overjoyed to hear of this.
Now they just needed a fift teammate and then their team would be ready. But first Lili needed to learn more about the world and so she quickly left the two girls alone. Although before going to study, Kristy did give the girls her own number as Lili didn't have one.
And that's when Lili learned something new as well about phones and how numbers work. Overall she felt so informed just then. Throughout the day she had learned of so many things, seen so many places and even met up with a lot of new people.
Although there were concerning trends here that she had noticed. First of all the people though mostly nice, they were all in different levels of unhealthiness. They most definitely weren't looking like the nobles that she had thought them to be. No, these people were merely looking more and more like some primitive civilization that she had red of in the imperial records. And most concerning of all was that these people either followed no religion or then they went to a Christian church to pray for some different form of the Jesus Christ that she knew.
So in conclusion this place was not the heaven she had thought it to be. And these people knew nothing of the things that she knew and so silent observation was necessary now. And lastly These people knew not of the holy light it seemed and they were blind to the holy cores that were within a very few select people who were descendants of Jesus himself.
