I. The Forest of Decisions
A sigh escaped my lips as I let my weight fall against a dry tree trunk. My muscles burned with fatigue, and the idea of lying down on the grass, letting the wind envelop me, was more tempting than it should have been.
Luna, however, had no intention of giving me a break.
"Come, we have work to do."
Her tone was calm, but in her silver gaze, there was a hint of urgency.
I rolled my eyes.
"What's the rush? You said the hounds only attack at night."
"Ignis needs help. And so do you," she paused before looking at me with a hint of amusement. "Especially now, with this new transformation of yours."
I blinked, confused.
"What transformation?"
"Didn't you notice?" Luna smiled with the patience of someone who already knows the answer. "Your hair, like purple fire… the ease with which you shaped your energy."
My skin prickled.
