THIRTEEN
The enforcers breath kept raising as they heard his word, but one of them stepped forward, his eyes narrowing.
"You can't scare us at all, Ghost Alpha," the enforcer spat.
"We are here on orders from Alpha Jenkins, that girl really belongs to us." He continued, trying to move closer to him.
"Belongs to you? That is really strange. She does not even look like a property to me." The Ghost Alpha chuckled darkly, his gaze moving between the enforcers and Ava.
Ava's heart was beating very fast as she was trying to make sense of the situation around her, as she took a step back.
How did this man know about her? Why was he even helping her? She could feel his eyes on her, calculating, even as he still kept his attention on the enforcers as well.
The lead enforcer growled, shifting into his wolf form immediately. The others followed, their forms surrounding Ava and the Ghost Alpha.
