And then the sound was all over the place again.
Ava turned just in time to see a rogue burst through the tree line, its dark fur was filled with blood. The battle had just started.
"Asher, we don't have time for this!" Micah shouted.
More rogues came in, their snarls filled the place. The Moonhaven warriors moved forward, clashing with them with their claws and fangs.
"You cannot fight like this." Ava grabbed Asher's arm.
"I don't have a choice," he rasped.
"Yes, you do," she said fiercely.
He met her eyes, and for the first time, there was nothing that much certain in his eyes.
"Asher, what are your orders?" Micah turned, urgency was just all over his face.
Asher opened his mouth, then he collapsed. The camp froze immediately.
Ava tried to catch him before he hit the ground. His breathing was very slow, and his skin was really burning very hot.
