"What the hell are you doing?!" Leon's voice boomed through the hallway as he pulled back abruptly.
Emma stammered, her voice shaking. "I—I just wanted to confirm—"
"Confirm what?!" he interrupted, his hand suddenly cupping her lips, making them pout awkwardly. His glare was sharp as he leaned closer. "Don't ever stick this stupid thing on mine again!"
Emma's eyes widened as she tried to mumble through his hold, her words coming out muffled and unclear.
Realizing what he was doing, Leon let go suddenly, his expression flickering with a mix of frustration and confusion. "Just… don't," he muttered before turning away and walking to the other side of the hallway without another word.
Emma stood frozen, her fingers brushing over her lips as her cheeks burned. She watched his retreating back, her heart sinking. "For just a few seconds," she murmured softly, "I really thought he was the Leon I knew."
