"Emma…" Leon stepped into the room. There was no sign of Emma anywhere in the house. The living room, the kitchen, and even their bedroom—she was nowhere in sight. Stepping out of the room again, he called out to his maid, "Did you see my wife?"
"Ah, sir… Madam is in the garden. She said she needs to clear her mind." The middle-aged maid smiled as she informed Leon about Emma's whereabouts.
Nodding, Leon marched to the garden at the back of the mansion. He craned his neck, his eyes narrowing as he tried to spot where Emma was. She was nowhere near the sitting area. "Where is she?" he furrowed his brow, unconsciously muttering his thoughts.
