Chapter 93 - 93- the birth of Sirius

In both heaven, earth and hell for the next few months the search for Loki had proven in vain, wherever he had gone with the son of the 13th had been a mystery. Eventually, they found that Nanna had been deceased and experienced the second death of the soul. Odin convinced Hel to release the soul, using Forseti as her tether and Hel reluctantly did so to keep the peace. She had been tied up for a few days by Hel as a punishment and they had proven that she wasn't involved in Loki's mischief besides the mistaken identity, so Hel had no more means to hold her. She returned to Asgard and her old life and her affair.

Frigg and her sons did feel concerned that Loki had inquired about Mistletoe. But a month had passed and Baldur did not dream of his Fylgja so he slowly let his life return to normal.

However, in Nefilheim, the goddess Hel was a lot more concerned to hear that Loki had taken the wolf boy. She had returned to her meeting with her angels.

"Klaus," she said, "please explain your concerns about what Loki is doing and we can discuss a way to save the 13th. I want to make a plan to save as well as his son, the werewolf cub."

Her children were surprised that she would take the time to do this because they had never seen this boy before. He must have been on a very important quest when he died if she wanted him to finish it so badly.

Klaus went to the front of the room and began speaking. "At first with the death of Sirius and his wife, Loki took the boy from Ériu and gave him to Frigg to raise. I assume it can only be because off the closeness he has with her. Her son Baldur was to watch over him, but we all know how him and Mani's daughter are, and how jealous Hodr is of his brother's life.

A few snickers went around the room. Some of the angels had grown up with them and they found it rediculous how the people of Asgard spent so much time having love triangles.

There was a certain feeling that the people of Asgard always had of being better than the rest, and the angels of Hel just weren't the same as Valkyrie. They had a similar job, but less fake drama.

Klaus waited for everyone to quit their snickering and gave them a serious face. They quieted down.

"Well, Loki came disguised as Nanna and took that wolf child about a month ago, and they haven't been able to find him anywhere."

A woman raised her hand, "if I may, why are the people of Asgard concerned about this? If he was a mortal child, you're saying he is adopted, then why are they looking for him? I don't think they usually concern themselves with mortal affairs. What is the significance of this child?"

"Thank you Afton for your question." Klaus responded, "in all reality, they aren't still looking for him, but they told me that they are concerned about why he was taken, and that is because Loki also threatened the life of Baldur."

The angels began to murmur.

"He asked Baldur about the spell of protection that his mother put on him and through cunning, Frigg told him about Mistletoe being the only one able to harm him.

Why he wants harm upon Baldur, we don't know. But I would say that threatening Baldur has made the people of Asgard very concerned because he is the next king when Odin steps down."

"Why can't they just make someone stronger and mightier be the king?" Another angel asked. "I mean, what about Thor? He's so mighty with his lightning and all that."

Afton looked annoyed at her brother. "Thor is an iligitimate child, Frigg isn't his real mother, why would she choose him? Women are the rulers in Asgard."

"That's just your opinion."

"Enough!" Klaus interrupted, "the significance of the boy to Asgard is that Loki is plotting more mischief and every time he plots some stupid havoc, we have to fix things because whenever war happens up there, we have to deal with all of the dead. Do you all want to be judging all of the souls of the Valkyrie? Or the start of another war? The Valkyrie can't keep up in a war! They just pick the good souls to raise up and leave everyone else to us! You would be working for 20 years to put them all where they are supposed to go. Then we would have another incident like the baby boomers!"

"Well, I just sent a bunch of them back to Midgard to buy us some time!" One of Hels other sons said. "I don't see what is wrong with that!" The angel that had been speaking said defending himself.

Afton rolled her eyes.

"Please," Hel said.

They all turned towards the goddess because she hadn't spoken until now.

"Frigg and Odin are concerned about the life of their son. It doesn't matter why. He will prove himself if he is worthy."

Klaus nodded.

"I have a huge concern as to why Loki took that boy, because he is the tether that Sirius has to the world and I need him to finish his quest I gave him. There is a war coming. He may be the one to put a stop to it."

"Why is the 13th so important?" Afton asked.

Hel sighed, it clearly pained her to tell the story of Sirius' birth.

"I was hoping to tell you all later, but as you all know, I have two brothers, Fenrir the wolf and Jörmungander the dragon. They have begat the creatures of chaos that run amuck. My children are creatures of chaos too technically, but you all play a vital role in heaven and hell and I made a vow never to have children with Gods and demigods so that my children don't become monsters.

All of us children of Loki begat monsters that the Gods sometimes cannot control. That is because as my children, you are demigods and have 50 percent godlike power in your veins. Valkyrie, try as they might to overpower you or say they are the angles of death, in the end, they only have 25 percent power because they used to be human and humans have none. Odin grants their soul 25 percent for their dedication to him, but he cannot grant more.
