Try as he might to deny that, all of you children of mine are demigods and stronger than his Valkyrie."
To keep up with all of you, he gives Einherjar to his Valkyrie which adds another 25 percent of power if they work together well. So they keep up with you that way." The goddess explained.
"Of course you too can use Einherjar just like they can and so on and so forth."
"Yeah, sounds exhausting, so why is Sirius important?" Afton asked again, hoping to understand where her mother was going with this.
The reason that the vampires have become so powerful is because Fenrir, my brother, begat the werewolves and many of them become vampires when they die. So even in death, creatures of chaos don't follow Odin.
Odin thought that by bringing Nanna, the true daughter of Noir, the son of Fenrir, to his side, who has also died; having the moon god adopt her, he could give werewolves a purpose, he could correct the nature of those creatures. Nanna's parents' wolves were actually just killed by Sirius so that's one reason she would hate him.
"But fenrir had another son and this other son of Fenrir for a long time iluded Odin. We weren't even sure if he existed. It seemed like all of the werewolves were in Asgard. However, reports occasionally of werewolves began popping up, stray packs of wolves were indeed in Midgard. When they died, because they weren't in Nefilheim, they became vampires.
Loki cannot have more children, Odin made sure if that, so eventually, vampires should die out. But that wasn't the case.
Odin realized that the sheer numbers of them, and the fact that they hid from their prey, humans, being the undead versions of immortal beings, and had begun using strategy meant that someone must be leading them.
This son of Fenrir however was never found and continued to keep vampires alive, he has been converting humans into vampires and then they have more babies and getting rid of them hasn't worked."
"Who is this other son of Fenrir?" Klaus asked. It's not that boy you were holding is it?"
"No, of course not." The goddess said quickly. "It is the vampire king Alastor."
"He has been too powerful to defeat and he refuses to allow Vampires to follow Odin. He nearly wiped out the werewolves on earth and has done everything in his power to bring the creatures of chaos back under the rule of Loki.
Does Loki really want that responsibility? I doubt it, but Alastor? I think Loki doesn't know how great of a monster he created when he raised him up to hate the world."
"About 900 years ago, I fell in love with Alastor mistakenly. I didn't know his intentions, I happened upon him and he was mourning the loss of his lady friend, a girl that was turned into a werewolf. He acted like he didn't even know what a werewolf was, so I explained to him that I was Fenrir's sister and what the creatures of chaos were. We were about the same age and I got pregnant and we settled down."
At this admission, the angels of death looked at their mother in horror. They all knew who their fathers were. She had always had children with humans so that they wouldn't become monsters. A goddess having a baby with a human only made a demigod 50 percent. But a goddess having a baby with a demigod…..
"You had a child with a vampire!!!!!" Klaus exclaimed, "Oh that would make him a minor god!"
"Respect mother, she was clearly tricked!" Afton yelled, but Klaus continued:
"He would have more power than any of us! He would have more blood of Loki than any other monster except for the sons of Angrboða! Those monsters took the combined power of the gods to defeat! They had to be cast to the second death just to keep the world safe! He would have at least 75 percent godhood! If he was also a vampire then he would have the power to go on an evil blood thirsty rampage and only the gods could stop him!"
"Luckily, Loki cannot have more children, Odin made sure of that." Hel said silencing Klaus. "And Fenrir and Jörmungander were also sent to a second death, so I am the only one who remains that can give birth to chaos that powerful. But humans cancel it out and each generation has less of the blood of Loki. All of your fathers are humans on purpose.
"I've done my part not to be a nuisance to Odin."
"So why did you let Sirius live then if he was a mistake! How could you let that much power exist!?" Klaus exclaimed.
Hel sighed. "When Sirius was born, he shared half of my godlike glory and his other half should have been human. However, he was smaller than the rest of you, and sickly and I somehow wanted him to make it. I had never given birth to a sickly child before. Humans make me produce strong children because they are so full of life.
But Sirius, he couldn't digest my milk very well, and then he started trying to have my blood. Once he bit me and I realized he was a vampire. How had I given birth to a vampire? Only my brother's bloodline produced vampires; my children do not drink blood.
"In shock I confronted Alastor and he admitted he had tricked me into making another creature of chaos, something I vowed never to do. I found out that Alastor was my nephew, we were both ageless, that is why I thought he was my age. In all reality, he intended to use Sirius to take down Odin.
"I ran away with Sirius, fleeing from that kind of fate for my baby. But Loki intervened and took the child away and I never found Alastor or my child again."
Then she smiled.
"Then, he came into Nefilheim one day, a beast of his proper lineage! Wielding the same familiar my father did. Claiming he will defeat Alastor! He was still weak, but he was determined.
" I believe he can do it if he gets stronger. Eventually, his body will be able to sustain his godlihood and he can be stronger than any of you. You all, and the Valkyrie(combined with their Einherjar) are only demigods, Alastor is a demigod. But Sirius can become much stronger than that. The last time a god had a child with a demigod like that was when the gods before us had Odin.
Why is he weak? Because he denies himself blood, but if he were to give in to his bloodlust, and I say control it, not go savage because then he would be a monster. But if he learned to control his true power, he could use the life force of the creatures around him, just like Odin can. And he would be more powerful than us all."
"That boy was weak because his subconscious holds him back." Afton realized. "A bond with a familiar is a double edged sword because if they believe they are too strong. That boy probably was afraid of himself growing up."
"The goddess nodded, "His beast is blocked by the fomoire for now but he will return to him when he no longer needs to doubt his power. Once he trusts himself, Taz will return."
"Why would a boy like that be afraid of Alastor?" One of the death Angels that hadn't spoken yet asked. His name was Nicholas.
"This is the reason that I want to bring him back to finish his quest of defeating Alastor. He doesn't want to rule like Alastor, but he knows he will have to. He is humble enough he may finally bring the vampires away from Loki's influence. As the crowned prince of the vampires, he can be their next king."
