Chapter 77 - 77 Lesson number 2

The fomoire sighed, "I supposed you want me to help? Is that why you've come to see me? Why would I want to risk my life for this death mission? The creatures of Sldir are literally all murderers. They will all kill him in a heartbeat and they won't care. Some love torturing other creatures.

In their life, perhaps they killed and tormented their own kind! So in death, they are even cast out of hel, the territory of the goddess of death, and sent to wander that dark place, battling each other until they die and cease to exist. I don't know why you would send your grandson there, but some of them are even powerful enough that they become demons."

Ériu looked at Loki for a while as he considered his response. "I need him to come to my realm." Loki said. Send him on a quest to Slidr and I will make sure he is fine. It is the future where I see success in the war against Odin. We know all are against Odin except for himself. He even fights his brother Zeus for the people of Midgard that they created together with the leaders of other pantheons. He must be humbled or mistletoe will destroy us all."

Ériu folded her arms. This was exactly one week before she ran into Sirius and Saoirse. When Loki told her to prepare him for his quest. "The little huldra that Odin locked away? She won't escape." Ériu replied.

"Yes she will."

"How?"

"Fenrir will too. I plan to release all of my warriors. My grandson will lead Ragnarok."

Ériu shook her head. "If you hadn't saved my realm so many times I shouldn't trust you." She said. "Fine I will bring your grandson to you."

———————————-

"Well well well, now we are getting somewhere." Ériu said to Sirius as he clashed swords with Saoirse. "As I help you to train, then you two can become demigods." Ériu encouraged them. "This will help you when Odin confronts you next time. Sirius, you are a very ambitious person, I will admit. I've never heard of her offering anyone the opportunity before to become a death angel."

Ériu said this because she decided that if Alastor was Sirius' father then it would be highly unlikely for Hel to be his mother. So he shouldn't be the 13th child of hers that was lost.

"Why no?" Saoirse had asked.

"Because then his mother would be his father's aunt. And that would be impossible. No goddess would have a baby with a demigod unless they want that baby killed by Odin."

"Let's not forget that would be incest." Sroka pointed out.

Ériu laughed. "Sweetheart, you should be in bed already! You're such a handful!"

"I am not!" She cried. "Don't say that I am! Everyone always says that I am! My new parents will love me more than that! Momma tell her I'm not a handful!"

Sroka ran across the icy floor that had resulted from the adults' training session. She slipped a few times but whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! She made it past all of the obstacles and fell into Saoirse's waiting embrace.

Tears streamed down her face.

"Hey! It's ok! Don't cry Sroka! Why are you crying so?"

Sroka just sobbed.

"Maybe it's time for all of us to go to bed." Sirius suggested. "Ériu just meant you're going to be tired."

Sroka nodded and he took her back to bed.

As he shut the door to the children's room, he turned around and faced the fomoire.

He readied himself and then charged in, his black and white vampire wings sprouted and he drew odin's sword and pointed it at her. His vampire teeth were bared and menacing, he leapt into the air and flapped his wings.

"Not quite done huh?" The fomoire said a bit amused. "But you dont have your shape shifting magic. I can do a bit of that myself." Suddenly, she dissipated into a cloud of mist.

He looked around and tried to figure out how he could hit her if she was made of mist.

"Hey you didn't do anything like that earlier!" He exclaimed surprised she could do that.

"Of course I did, don't you remember when I took Taz away?"

Sirius remembered she had become mist. "The barrier was mist as well." She added.

"Something you have to know about Fomoires is they are water creatures. I was in the desert last time we met, so my power was limited, but here in my cave, I have water. You can never underestimate your enemies." She said.

He was hoping he could pinpoint where she was by the sound of her voice, but to no avail, she sounded like she was in every direction.

He swiped his claws everywhere and mist swirled around his hands as if it didn't matter to it. He spun around and around, swiping everywhere, trying to hit something until he began to sweat.

Saoirse exclaimed from across the room. "Sirius she is water, let me help!"

Saoirse moved her fingers and the air around them began to freeze.

The fomoire approved, "good use of moon magic Saoirse!"

The fomoire was unable to move as quickly, and a sheet of ice had formed around her and she was stuck place, the mist formed the shape of a person like a large smear of ice. It looked like someone had frozen her in the middle of running.
