Chereads / I Became the Passerby Alpha [BL] / Chapter 3 - Treatment

Chapter 3 - Treatment

A seemingly inconspicuous bodyguard stood silently in the corner behind Lou Yan. He maintained an erect posture, his hands dutifully placed behind his back. However, attached to the guard's suit, a small concealed device was slowly blinking, emitting a soft red light as it quietly captured the scene.

Despite the bodyguard's belief that he had successfully concealed himself, Lou Yan's words shattered that illusion. Without turning around, Lou Yan spoke out in a cold, composed tone, "Have fun recording?"

The bodyguard stiffened, a chill ran down his spine. When was he discovered?

With a dismissive tone, Lou Yan issued a curt command, "Capture him." The other bodyguards in the room instinctively turned their heads in unison, fixing their gaze on the man, their gazes as cold and unwavering as robots.

In a smooth and synchronized movement, they encircled the man. The man's voice trembled as he attempted to find his words, "H-hold on…."

He was soon quickly overpowered and forcefully pushed to the ground, his cheek making contact with the chilly surface of the floor. With a swift motion, the bodyguards apprehended the man and confiscated the hidden device attached to his suit.

The room fell silent as Lou Yan studied the device, seemingly in deep thoughts. Sensing the tension in the air, the man likely feared for his life and began to speak up in a desperate attempt to save himself.

"Boss, you've got it all wrong! I was sent by the godfather, he instructed me to monitor you." His voice trembled with a mix of fear.

Even though the young man in front of him, who was no older than twenty years old, didn't even bother to look at him or utter a single word, the overwhelming pressure emanating from him was enough to overpower the man.

It dawned on him that there had indeed been a severe misunderstanding. How could the heir to the mighty Yasha group possibly be ordinary?

"Is that so?" Lou Yan lost interest and dropped the device to the ground, crushing the device beneath the sole of his shoe. The impact shattered the device, producing a distinct sound of splintering and cracking.

The man, fearful that he might be next to be crushed under Lou Yan's shoes, hastily blurted out, "The godfather meant no harm! Boss, I was just following his orders..."

His words were abruptly interrupted as one of the bodyguards forcefully pushed him harder onto the ground, causing him to wince in pain.

Godfather….

Lou Yan's frown deepened as he reflected on his current situation. First, prior to his transfer, the original owner was in a dark alley and seemed to have been in some sort of pain.

Second, his instincts told him not to blindly trust the infamous godfather figure. Despite his knowledge of the plot, his advantage was limited in this situation. Both the godfather and the original owner were merely minor figures who weren't even properly mentioned in the novel.

Recalling the paragraph in the novel, he still remembers it very clearly.

"Yang Chen, amidst the turmoil, clutched his lover's hand tightly as they dashed through the hall. From a distance, he could see the gravity of the situation. Multiple influential leaders, who could previously have posed a challenge to him, now lay motionless, their lives snuffed out. Nearby, an old man laid motionless in a pool of blood - wasn't that the fearsome godfather of Yasha?"

Lou Yan's thoughts halted. Wait a minute, now that he thought it over, the original owner wasn't even mentioned in the novel?

Lou Yan: "….."

It couldn't be that the original owner was assassinated in the dark alley?

Lou Yan's displeasure was evident as he gently massaged his temple, contemplating whether it stemmed from his earlier emanation of alpha pheromones provoked by the omega's heat or the recent discovery of the troublesome nature of the current identity. With a hint of irritation, he spoke, "Leave."

All the bodyguards exchanged quiet glances and swiftly retreated at the boss's command, dragging along the unconscious man. Within moments, the living room was empty, leaving behind only a solitary tall figure.

Lou Yan stood there in a contemplative manner, the heat emanating from the pheromones on the back of his neck gradually intensifying.

However, his focus soon shifted towards Liu Feng as he emerged from the room, Dr. Wen following closely behind, bearing a grave expression.

Lou Yan mentally set aside his previous contemplations and gestured towards the plush sofa, settling down with his legs crossed.

Dr. Wen took a seat and began to speak with a serious expression, "Regarding that omega's condition..."

Taking a sip of the tea provided by Liu Feng, Lou Yan's gaze fixed on the doctor, "His name is Wen Yu. How serious is his condition?"

Dr. Wen pulled out his notes and slowly explained, "During my examination, I observed that his omega gland has signs of damage, and his body is exceptionally weak. His weakened state has worsened due to consuming the drugged wine."

Dr. Wen paused and stare at the man in front of him, "Mr. Lou, you must have heard of Velvet Mirage."

Velvet Mirage, a very potent aphrodisiac that is rarely found in circulation, usually only available in exclusive auctions. The effects of 'Velvet Mirage' can be quite debilitating, as it's designed to quickly induce heat in an omega.

Lou Yan has not heard of such a drug but he faintly recalled that the name had been mentioned in the novel before.

"Mr. Wen ingested the drug which resulted in him being compelled into heat."

Dr. Wen continued with a slight smile, "Fortunately, Mr. Lou rescued him in time. I administered proper medication to subdue the drug's effects, and his heat will gradually subside. However, during this period, he will undoubtedly experience pain and discomfort."

Lou Yan leaned back onto the plush sofa, resting his chin casually on his hand, "Is there any way to alleviate his pain?"

Dr. Wen took a momentary pause before nodded, explaining, "His omega gland has sustained significant damage. I was cautious not to administer too strong of a dose of the medication so his pain is still quite intense."

"Of course there is an alternative method. A temporary mark from an alpha would help soothe his pain, and his heat might subside by tomorrow. However, Mr. Lou, his gland is exceedingly sensitive, so you would need to exercise extreme caution."

Lou Yan contemplated with a frown. Temporary marking? He was familiar with this concept from his reading of the novel. However, to him, this act was not any different from a form of harassment, considering him and Wen Yu were basically strangers.

Brushing his personal aversion aside, if the silly villain discovered an unknown alpha had given him a temporary mark, he likely wouldn't respond with gratitude but with hatred, possibly fueled by humiliation and disgust.

Lou Yan's gaze lazily shifted downward, the alpha's aura exuded a subtle but noticeable low pressure. "That won't do. Is there no other alternative?"

Dr. Wen pushed up his glasses and took notice of the situation, he realized he might have mistaken the relationship between the two.

He carefully suggested, "How about this? I'll continue giving him small doses of medication to alleviate his pain. As for soothing his pain, you can try doing it gently with your pheromones. There's no need to resort to a marking. Simply small moments of contact with your pheromones might suffice. If he doesn't reject your pheromones, it could be remarkably effective."

Lou Yan briefly considered the proposed solution, feeling it wasn't entirely unfavorable. If it meant he could avoid marking and provide Wen Yu with some pain relief, he was willing to give it a try.

Lightly tapping his fingers on the armrest of the sofa, Lou Yan was deep in thought. A pair of sharp blue eyes glance over, "You mentioned his gland is damaged. Were you able to determine the cause?"

Dr. Wen's expression became grave as he answered Lou Yan's question, "Yes, based on my observation, it seems the damage to his gland is due to forceful marking. It appears to be from an aggressive alpha's temporary marking, forceful injections, and excessive use of heat suppression syringes."

Lou Yan's tapping finger came to a halt and his expression darkened. There was a prolonged moment of silence, both Dr. Wen and Liu Feng did not even dare to breath too loud.

"Dr. Wen, go on." Lou Yan's voice came out in a low tone, his gaze casually directed outwards to the window, but anyone could sense the irritation beneath the calm surface.

Dr. Wen swallowed and continued with a solemn expression, his tone professional yet careful, "Yes, there's more. As I examined him, I discovered puncture scars on the back of his neck and his wrists. These marks are likely from injections of heat suppressors and stimulants."

Lou Yan slowly rose from his seat, smoothing down his shirt cuff and meticulously fastening the button. "In that case, I request that you assume the role as his personal doctor until his recovery. Liu Feng, please escort the doctor out."

Lou Yan's footsteps were steady as he returned to the room. This was the first time in a long while that he…had felt a flicker of anger and genuine worry about someone.

Within the room, the omega was lying asleep serenely, his previously pale face now regaining a touch of color after receiving the injection of medication.

Lou Yan sat down at the head of the bed, observing the youth for a moment before sighing softly, "You've endured a lot." He then gently tugged the blanket higher, covering the youth.

Wen Yu, trapped within his nightmare, found a hint of comfort in the unfamiliar warmth that suddenly enveloped him. Cradled by the gentle fragrance of snow sandalwood, he felt himself descending further into a deeper slumber. This time without any nightmare.
