He crossed a line too far, and her trembling grew increasingly intense.
"Ji Yan~" she called out, her voice bordering on hysteria by the end.
His face was instantly dampened.
...
Ji Yu was sent away early the next morning by Ji Yan, who didn't want to share Jin Huan's attention with anyone else, despite the unique thrill of the previous night's events.
But the sound of Huan'er's voice then was so delightful, so tender; he wanted to hear it endlessly.
Returning upstairs, the young girl was still sleeping sweetly.
Jin Huan was primarily exhausted because she had absorbed too much energy the night before and hadn't yet fully digested it.
She was still drowsy when he came to embrace her, and her body relaxed into his hold.
"Huan'er."
"Mm?"
"Huan'er."
"What is it?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to call you."
Jin Huan closed her eyes again.
"Huan'er, come have dinner at my house tonight, okay?"
His sister had specifically asked him to invite her before she left.
"Okay."
His lips curled upwards.

National Supernatural Security Bureau
"Boss, Kunlun Ruins have been acting oddly these past few days. The inner valley is completely sealed off, and our detection devices are getting destroyed by lightning as soon as they enter. We can't detect anything now."
The sudden anomaly had attracted their attention.
"Check all recent visitors to the area as well as meteorological and seismic activity."
"Yes!"
...
Jin Huan fully woke up only around noon.
Ji Yan was organizing documents, preparing to start his new role tomorrow, familiarizing himself with the procedures and projects today.
Jin Huan came over and sat next to him, glancing casually at the colorful lines on his computer screen.
She wasn't very interested. Ji Yan said this could make money, but Jin Huan found it boring. She had several tombs from which she could easily sell items and live comfortably, but she was too lazy to bother, the underground being filthy, which she avoided unless absolutely necessary.
Sunlight generously bathed the windowsill.
Jin Huan walked over and stood by the window, and soon a little bird flew over to keep her company.
Worried she wasn't enjoying herself enough, Ji Yan shut down his computer and took her out.
Their car stopped at a busy intersection.
"Why are there so many cars here?"
"Because there's a high school here, Karloy International School."
She observed the students coming and going; the boys in dark red blazers, the girls in matching cinched blazers and skirts.
So pretty!
It was her style indeed!
"Ji Yan, I want to study here."
It was tricky with universities, but Karloy, being a private elite school, was feasible because tuition was the only requirement.
At three hundred thousand a year, it was evident that the students were from affluent backgrounds.
"Okay."
Her youthful appearance, with a ponytail, could easily pass her off as sixteen or seventeen.
Ji Yan immediately arranged for her enrollment. After a family dinner at home, the uniform was delivered to Jin Huan that very night.
It was summer vacation now, and Ji Yan had enrolled her in the senior year. The previous batch had just finished their exams, so she would start classes in September.
Jin Huan liked the uniform but was indifferent about actually attending classes.
Ji Yan mentioned he had also attended high school at Karloy: "So, you should call me 'senior' from now on."
Before he could finish speaking, Jin Huan had already changed into the uniform and approached him barefoot.
Ji Yan looked at the young girl; he felt off-kilter again.
The small shirt made certain aspects of her appear disproportionately large.
He knew, at least, they were a D.
Such a youthful appearance yet so... endowed.
"S-senior."
"Huan'er, my junior."
Several buttons on her blouse were undone.
His head almost buried itself in her red blazer.
It was indeed increasingly addictive.
"Huan'er, call me 'senior' again, just a few more times, be good~" His last word trembled intensely, muffled as if his mouth was still full.
