Ariana groaned softly.
Everything was spinning around her, she could hear distant voices and from the look of things they haven't found out that she's awake yet. She didn't know who Grace had up in their apartment right now, but she figured out that it was late to start entertaining one of her boyfriends.
Talking about boyfriends?
She opened her eyes after rubbing it slightly, only for her eyes to connect with a red chandelier and unfamiliar Gray walls.
What the heck is going on?
Ariana thought.
This wasn't Grace's room and neither was this Andrew's room either. She couldn't remember what had gone down in the last few hours, but she knew that she was preparing to go meet Andrew's family to officially make her presence known as their son's fiancée.
"W..water." She managed to say as she sat up on the bed to fully look at her surroundings. Everything screamed luxury, right from the interior design down to everything that was inside the room.
The voices that she heard moments ago seemed to have died down, which made her wonder if it was in her head because she clearly heard someone's voice.
The young lady touched her head, only to groan in pain when she noticed that she had a splitting headache. Only to notice that she wasn't wearing her clothes and that was her cue to start panicking.
Who the hell changed her?
Where's Grace?
What about Andrew?
Her purse and her phone?
It was at this point that the young lady realized that none of her belongings were in the room. As she stood up instantly from the bed, a wave of nausea hit her hard that she nearly fell back down only to grab the headboard, as the event of what has gone down in the past few hours flashed across her face like a movie.
Andrew's parents?
The money his mother offered to her for her to leave her son, who apparently his wedding is set for Saturday?
Andrew's real fiancée and the reaction he made when he saw that she has been told about everything?
Ariana remembered everything, but things got serious and scary for her when she remembered the car and the man that had kidnapped her, that's it!
She's been kidnapped.
Could her life not get any worse?
She palmed her mouth instantly from not screaming out to alert her kidnappers about her being awake.
Ariana couldn't think of anyone that she might have had issues with that would think of doing this to her, nor could she accuse Andrew's mother for being behind this. Well, she had no reason not to do it, not after she slapped her precious son right in front of the whole family.
So, this was her taking revenge.
But Ariana didn't waste any time waiting for her nor the wicked man, that had kidnapped her to come around to find out that she's awake, before she started to look around the room for a weapon.
Anything at all, to protect herself.
She wondered if Grace knew that she's missing? Is Grace alright to begin with, what if they kidnapped her too?
If this was the only way Andrew could decide to get rid of her, then he's more of a monster than she could have thought. Apparently, the only mistake she made in life was to meet someone as evil as him.
Andrew was her first everything.
Her first love.
Her first kiss, although they never really got down to the part of doing the real deal,". She had a firm belief to lose her virginity on the night of her marriage, so she has stayed chaste while daydreaming of her future with Andrew, only for reality to crash down on her.
Hot tears ran down her face when she couldn't find anything to protect herself with. Her kidnapper was smart, it showed that this wasn't the first time of him doing this because he knew that her first reaction would be to protect herself.
She heard incoming footsteps, and the only way her brain could think of protecting herself was to hide behind the door. As the door opened, and two tall abled men came inside the room she hopped on one of them, and started throwing punches while screaming.
"Let me go!!"
Punches that could barely hurt a fly but in her mind she was hurting whoever her hands laid upon.
"Sir." She heard one out of the two men speak, apparently it was the one who was trying to get her off from the back of the supposed sir, who is the ringleader from the look of things.
"Be careful, don't hurt her." She heard the ringleader speak up, yet that didn't give her the reassurance that they wouldn't hurt her or that she was safe. They kidnapped her and that's illegal.
Only for the other guy who she hadn't seen his face completely, carefully snatched her up from the back of the other man.
"Let me go!" She shouted, not giving in any time soon. She only hoped that they don't hurt her or maybe do worse than that, rape her?
At the thought of that she flared up in anger, not giving the men the chance to say anything. Coupled with how heartbroken she was over her life that has taken a drastic turn, she took her anger out on them.
"Ma, you need to calm down. We are not here to hurt you." The ringleader explained but things turned out for the worse when she started heaving, suddenly alerting them that she's having a panic attack.
"Fuck! She's having a panic attack. What do i do?" A look of distress, evident in the face of the guard that had stopped her from hurting the other man. The thought of anything going astray that might ruin their plan had him in fear of his life.
"Move aside." The other man said, before holding onto Ariana's hands. "Miss, you need to calm down and listen to me. Breathe in slowly and out, now look at me." He cooed, doing the same as he instructed her and it didn't take minutes before everything went back to normal.
"You are okay now." He said with a smile, one that didn't make the young lady trust him either because she shifted back instinctively until her back hit the headboard.
"Who are you?" She asked, looking at him to the other men who had his head bent in submission. It was obvious that the man, who had helped her was the one calling the shots here. "What do you want from me?" She added.
The headache didn't stop, if anything her stress level increased and all she wanted was to close her eyes to sleep. She was so tired.
"Trust me, ma. I mean no harm." The man said but she didn't believe him. "My name is Harry Smith, I'm the chief secretary to Alexander knights. The owner of the Knights holdings."
Ariana could barely understand what he's saying, because none of what he just said didn't help to clear the air about what and why she is being held hostage here.
Knights Holdings?
The name sounded familiar but she just couldn't think straight now.
"You still haven't answered my questions. Did Andrew set you up for this? If this is about what happened can you let him know that i didn't seriously mean to threaten him?" She pleaded.
She would rather live and move on with her life than to end up dead just because of him.
She's not like him or his mother, she could barely hurt a fly than to think of hurting him for what he had done to her.
"Trust me, I have no idea who Andrew is and what you have done. You are here because i need your help."
She looked up at him in confusion?
Her help?
Who needs a stranger's help that you have never met and kidnaps them to prove that?
Before she could open her mouth to ask him what it was all about, he beat her to it hoping that she wouldn't freak out when he said it.
"You are getting married to Alexander Knights in the next two months."
