Chapter 12 - John

In the afternoon, following the commotion caused by Jade, Peter, and friends, Jade decided to head home. However, he made a detour to Sun's place to see if Sin was around. As it turned out, Sin was indeed at Sun's place, accompanied by Sun's friend, John, who didn't visit often.

"Sun, you get angry easily, just a little thing I did today, you're now angry," a voice said aloud while stammering.

"John, is now i know you're a bad friend?" Sun asked, literally angry while screaming. Jade had never heard Sun speak like this before.

"You're shouting like it was my fault. You saw a guy, and you decided to get his number. You knew we were in the public market. I just said let me branch before you're through. When I came out, I didn't see you. I called and called, but your phone was off. I searched around for an hour, so I decided to leave because I didn't see you. So, it's not my fault," John said while stammering, which Jade noticed was a natural part of John's speech.

"Oh, so it's my fault? Okay, I won't argue with you," Sun said while seating down.

"Sun, I just don't get you. You think you're the only one who gets angry a lot, right?" John asked while stammering.

The sudden sound of the door alarm stopped their quarreling. Sin stood up to check who was at the door.

"Huh, Jade, you came. Thank God I'm done listening to their quarreling. Come in, come in," Sin said while face-palming.

"Who is Sun quarreling with?" Jade asked.

"Oh, it's John, that friend Sun told you about who doesn't visit often," Sin replied while following Jade in.

"Oh, he's stammering, but he has a nice voice," Jade said.

"Yeah, for the voice, I don't know, but the stammering, I can tell because he's my friend," Sin replied.

"So, what happened?" Jade asked.

"Oh, don't ask, my dear. If you want them not to start with both of us," Sin said while covering Jade's mouth with his palm.

"Oh, Sun, Jade is here," Sin said to Sun while dragging Jade to the sitting room.

"Oh, who is that? One of your nightstands? So now you're bringing them to your house," John said with rudeness and disdain in his eyes, not minding if Jade was listening.

"Are you mad?" Sun asked.

"It seems you are," Sun replied while standing to get a glass of juice for Jade, taking him along.

"What you said to my friend is rude. Do you know that? How dare you call him a nightstand?" Sin was infuriated with John's statement.

"What am I wrong? What does he do most? From man to man?" John asked while shrugging.

"It seems you're high. Are you on Percocet or Molly?" Sin asked with anger etched on his face.

"I can't even believe you said that. Our friend is now a prostitute, isn't he? The things you say while you're angry are shocking," John said.

"Did I call him a prostitute? Please don't misquote me," John said and picked up his phone to start chatting online.

"I can't even fathom the numbers of rubbish this guy spews from his mouth today," Sin said, unbelievably shocked.

While in the kitchen, Jade was almost burning with anger.

"Is that how your friend is? Sin is better than him. He is damn rude. I can't even believe it," Jade said while literally shaking from anger.

"No, he's not like that. It's just from anger. So, anything or anybody with me will be attacked. That's why," Sun explained, now covering up for John, just some minutes after their quarrel, which showed he was a good friend.

"Don't worry, he will apologize. After now, you will see," Sun said while hugging Jade.

As the evening wore on, the tension in the room began to dissipate. Jade, however, was still shaken by John's rudeness.

Sin, sensing Jade's unease, tried to reassure him.

"Jade, don't mind John. He's just angry right now. He'll apologize later," Sin said.

Jade nodded, still looking upset.

"I've never seen Sun so angry before," Jade said.

"Yeah, Sun can get angry sometimes. But he's a good person," Sin replied.

As they sat down to relax, Jade couldn't help but think about John's behavior. He wondered if John was always like that or if it was just a one-time incident.
