As the tension in the air became almost palpable, Sin suggested they take a stroll around the neighborhood to clear the air. The group walked in silence for a while, the only sound being the rustling of leaves beneath their feet.
John, still reeling from his earlier outburst, finally broke the silence. "Hello... I'm John, and I want to apologize for my behavior earlier. I was out of line, and I'm truly sorry," he said, his voice laced with remorse and his usual stammer.
Jade's eyes widened in surprise at John's apology. "Oh, you finally realized you insulted me when I wasn't even involved in your issue. Wow, I'm speechless by your boldness. If it was someone else, by now that person would be in the hospital," Jade replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
John looked down, shamefaced. "I know that's why I said I'm very sorry. Please forgive me. I can even kneel down here to beg you," John said, bending his knees in a gesture of contrition.
Jade's expression softened, and he nodded. "It's okay, I forgive you. You just got me shocked, nothing else." Jade then turned to Sin and started chatting with him.
"He did apologize to me. It's like you've known him for long," Jade said, smiling at Sin.
Sin smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Yes, I told you right. I know he would. Just watch now; he's going to apologize to Sun." Sin's prediction proved correct as John turned to Sun and began to apologize.
"Sun, I'm so sorry. It's my fault for not waiting for you. I'm in the wrong; please forgive me," John said, his voice filled with sincerity.
Sun's expression was smug, but he accepted John's apology. "Yeah, I know it's your fault. At least you've learned your lesson." Sun's tone was condescending, and Sin couldn't help but think, "Fuck, he's so shameless."
John, too, was taken aback by Sun's response. He thought to himself, "How shameless can this guy be? He was the one at fault. Now I'm the one at fault? It's okay; John, calm down, don't mind him, he's just being himself."
As they continued their walk, Sun suggested they head to their favorite spot in the neighborhood. "Let's go to our spot and sit down. I'm tired of walking," Sun said, already walking in the direction of their favorite spot.
The group followed Sun, still chatting and laughing together. Despite the earlier tension, they seemed to have put their differences aside, at least for the time being.
