Kim Heedo was ready to leave the hospital when his father stopped him. "Abeoji, Park Sohee Hyung is waiting for me. I'm actually very late already."
His plan was to visit Park Sohee first thing in the morning.
But I woke up around lunchtime after my accident last night, and now the sun has set.
Heedo had to go through many other tests for his family's peace of mind, hence he got stuck in the hospital longer than he intended.
"You won't change your mind about marrying Park Sohee, will you?"
"Yes, Abeoji— I'm going to marry that hyung," Heedo said in a calm yet firm tone. "But please don't worry. I won't resent our family for this."
His father fell silent for a moment. "Then let's deal with Park Sohee's debt first."
"That's a surprise, Abeoji. As a businessman, I didn't expect you to suggest taking care of Park Sohee Hyung's debt first when we haven't written our contract yet."
"I'm making an exception this time because that child is being targeted by a dangerous individual," his father said, handing a brown envelope to him. "Jin Taejoon, the son of the loan shark that Park Sohee's father is indebted to, is interested in Park Sohee. To be precise, Jin Taejoon wants Park Sohee to give him a child."
Heedo frowned while reading the information that his father collected regarding this 'Jin Taejoon.' "This type of Alpha should be locked up in prison."
"For some reason, Jin Taejoon is obsessed with male Omegas. Unfortunately, Park Sohee happens to be the first male Omega he has encountered in his life."
Ah, that's the same for me since male Omegas are quite rare.
"After I read the report about Jin Taejoon's weird obsession with Park Sohee's womb, I realized that he might not let us pay Park Sohee's debts no matter how much money we offer," his father said in a serious tone. "So, let's negotiate with Jin Sangwook— Jin Taejoon's father. He owns the contract to Park Sohee's father's debts anyway."
"Abeoji, do you think that person would listen to us over his son?"
"He has to. Jin Sangwook is planning to turn their gang into a legal company. I'll offer our Ilsung Group's help if he agrees to keep Jin Taejoon away from Park Sohee."
"You'll go that far for Park Sohee, Abeoji?"
"This may sound harsh and selfish, but I'm doing this for our family and not for Park Sohee," his father said admitted as if he was embarrassed. "I'll do anything to keep our family safe— even if it means believing supernatural stuff that I didn't care about before."
Aww.
"Abeoji, I wonder how a greedy person like Grandfather had a wonderful son like you."
"I was raised by your kind grandmother."
Right.

Heedo's conversation with his father was interrupted by a knock on the door, followed by Shin Kang's voice.
"Master, Young Master, Mr. Jin Sangwook has arrived."

A PUNGENT smell.
As soon as Kim Heedo reached the door of Park Sohee's rooftop apartment, a pungent smell greeted him.
It was the scent of an Alpha using his pheromones to suppress an Omega.
Freaking scumbag.
Park Sohee wasn't his Omega, but Heedo still felt protective of the hyung who had already gone through so much.
Hence, he ended up kicking the door open.
As a Dominant Alpha, Heedo was blessed with an athletic body and athletic skills. Hence, he was confident that he could fight a gangster.
But Shin Kang and five of his Beta bodyguards still insisted on coming with him.
And he made the right choice to bring his security detail.
After all, the smell of blood immediately hit Heedo's nose when he entered the apartment. He was livid because of the situation that greeted him, but he knew angry Alphas was a scary sight for Omegas.
And, so, he maintained a calm expression for Park Sohee.
But, deep inside, he was seething to see his hyung bleeding to death.
Let's not scare Sohee Hyung.
"Sohee Hyung, I'm here."
"And you're freaking late," Park Sohee complained, but he actually looked relieved. "I thought you already changed your mind…"
Park Sohee trailed off when he noticed Heedo's injuries.
Haaah.
This hyung is bleeding, and yet he looks more worried about me than he is about himself.
"Aren't you the grandson of Ilsung Group's chairman?" Jin Taejoon asked, snapping Heedo out of his complicated thoughts. "What is a young master like you doing here? And I see that you didn't come alone."
"I'm here to pick up my fiancé," Heedo said calmly, but his eyes were glued to Jin Taejoon's fingers around Sohee's arm. And then his gaze landed on Sohee's bleeding stomach. "Sohee Hyung, you're not going to make me enter a ghost marriage, are you?"
He needed to goof around so that Park Sohee wouldn't worry.
And it worked.
"I'm not dying, you stupid kid," Sohee said jokingly, then he covered his nose and mouth with his hand. "At least, not from this wound. I'm not just sure about this bastard's scent…"
"Wait a minute, Hyung."
Heedo then released his own pheromones.
Actually, he didn't know what his scent smelled like. He just knew that it worked because Jin Taejoon's disgusting pheromones finally disappeared.
The stronger Alpha will always nullify an inferior Alpha's pheromones.
"Kim Heedo, you don't want a ghost husband, right?" Park Sohee asked weakly while his body was falling to the ground. "Then don't let me die…"
Jin Taejoon, defeated by Heedo's pheromones, stumbled and dropped Kim Heedo.
Tsk!
Heedo immediately ran to catch Park Sohee. "Ahjussi!"
BANG!
That was the sound of Shin Kang shooting Jin Taejoon in the thigh.

Heedo was relieved when he caught Park Sohee in time— using his good arm— before his poor hyung hit the floor.
But Park Sohee had already lost too much blood.
At this rate, Hyung will really become a ghost wife.
"Yu!" Heedo yelled, calling the youngest member of his security detail. "Take Sohee Hyung to the hospital. It's faster than waiting for an ambulance. But make sure to apply pressure to Hyung's wound first."
"Yes, Young Master!" Yu answered clearly. "I'm good at providing first-aid!"
"I know— that's why I'm entrusting Hyung to you."
Yu was the youngest and the smallest among Heedo's bodyguards, but the kid was strong enough to carry a tall person like Park Sohee without difficulties.
Hyung, don't die on me.
"You three— call the police. Then assure the landlady and the other tenants that everything is under control," Heedo said to the other three bodyguards. "Ahjussi will stay with me."
The three bodyguards bowed and answered at the same time. "Yes, Young Master!"
And now…
Heedo glared at Jin Taejoon while releasing his pheromones to completely overpower the gangster. "Let's see if you can withstand the same violence you inflicted on Sohee Hyung, you bastard."
