Sohee couldn't believe that instead of renting an apartment near his university, the Kim Family actually bought a two-bedroom apartment for him.
It was only a three-minute walk to the station and the bus stop.
In short, it was located in a hot spot.
So, this apartment couldn't have been cheap.
Moreover, the apartment came with a private parking space.
"Are you sure you're already satisfied with this place, Sohee-ya?" President Kim Nari, who accompanied Sohee in visiting his new apartment for the first time, asked worriedly. But, after I passed the entrance exam, it became two hundred million won a month.
"You deserve it, dear."
"I'll work harder, Mother-in-law."
"No, don't work harder. You've already worked all your life. This time, I want you to have fun. You don't have to get good grades— we'll pay your tuition fee. So, just enjoy your life as a university student, Sohee-ya."

I want to believe that the Kim Family is only being good to me because their fortune depends on me, but I'm starting to think that they genuinely care about my well-being.
But Sohee wanted to protect his heart, so he stopped himself from being delusional.

"We usually just bring the department store to our house when we want to go shopping, but we thought you might find it boring," President Kim Nari said, smiling. "So, I just asked all the stores to close early so we could go shopping in peace."

Sohee chuckled while shaking his head. "I'm really the son-in-law of a chaebol family now, huh?"

SOHEE was dead tired.
It wasn't just President Kim Nari who went shopping with him— Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae were also there to accompany me.
And I'm glad that the twins are here since I have zero fashion sense.
Kim Hanhae chose Sohee's clothes for him— clothes that looked neat and decent, but lowkey since none of them showed the luxury brand's logo/label.

"It's probably because I gained some weight now that I don't have to starve myself," Sohee said lightly while patting his plump cheeks. "And all the skincare products that you sent me did an amazing job, Haewon-ah. So, thank you."
Kim Haewon smirked proudly. "You're welcome, Oppa. It's my mission to make people prettier. So, get up— we're not yet done."
"Huh?" Sohee asked, confused. "What are we going to do next."
"Spa-slash-clinic!" Kim Hanhae said excitedly. "We'll get a full body massage, then some skin treatment, Hyung."
Oh, that sounds nice.

SOHEE thought he was going to have dinner with the entire Kim Family.
But President Kim Nari couldn't make it because of an emergency meeting.
Kim Haewon had a live broadcast while Kim Hanhae had a stomachache after eating too much ice cream.
Hence, Sohee ended up having dinner with Vice Chairman Dohan alone.
It was awkward, but the fancy restaurant was nice.
And we're having steak— high-quality steak, at that.
The red wine that his father-in-law chose to go with their meal was also the finest wine he had in his life.
Yep, I'm really living my best life.

Sohee was surprised when Vice Chairman Kim Dohan handed two paper bags to him.
One contained a brand-new laptop, and the other contained a brand-new phone.
"I asked my secretary, and he said those things are what students need most these days," Vice Chairman Kim Dohan said. "Sohee-ya, don't worry about getting good grades. As long as you're having fun, then it's already worth paying your tuition fee for."

"Mother-in-law said the same thing," Sohee said, smiling. "Don't worry, Father-in-law. I can balance having fun and studying well."
"Is that so? I'm glad to hear that then."
"Thank you for the gifts, Father-in-law."
"You're welcome," Vice Chairman Kim Dohan said, pausing for a moment. "Sohee-ya, has Heedo contacted you yet?"

I almost forgot that I have a husband.
"Kim Heedo hasn't reached out to me yet, Father-in-law. He's not even picking up my call."
Vice Chairman Kim Dohan let out a sigh. "I wonder how long that child is going to sulk."
"Let him be for now, Father-in-law," Sohee said carefully. "It's not easy to nurse a broken heart, after all."
That kid hasn't moved on from Kosmos' Jamie yet.
Yes, Kim Heedo disappeared from Sohee's life the moment Kosmos' Jamie's dating "scandal" broke the internet.
My poor Golden Goose was broken, too.
