Chapter 14 - Reincarnation Spell(1)

"Are you serious?"

Cerebius asked with a confused frown on his face.

"Yes but this is just a theory which I came up with."

Zverius answered calmly, no signs of humour were evident on his face. He looked unusually solemn.

"Why do you think so?" Cerebius asked without any change in his expression. Zverius lingered for a few moments and then sighed.

"God and devil are simply mere pawns, Cerebius. The real mastermind is someone

else. Spells aren't alive but all of the high class divine and cursed spells have

consciousness, if someone seeks power then they must cast these spells to

subjugate others but where's the guarantee that each time the caster won't mess up?

Everything is tailored from the start for someone or something's sake.

I honestly don't know what's so good about constantly seeing a neverending time loop but there is no way that all of these events are just coincidences, there must be someone who is behind all of this."

"So you're saying that the libraries are behind this? And you mean these libraries are

primary spells?" Cerebius asked with a dubious look on his countenance. This time

Zverius nodded softly and continued:

"I mean they are not exactly a primary spell rather they are half primary spells."

"What exactly is a primary spell?" David asked with a slight frown on his face, he

desperately needed pretext about primary spell to contemplate this theory and the

conversation between Zverius and Cerebius.

Cerebius glanced at David with a somber expression, his lemon yellow eyes reflecting a look of deep melancholy, after a while he said wistfully, "Primary spell...a theory proposed by my teacher, Sir Albius. He believed that the god and the devil weren't Evyrynes but rather they were something called "Primary spells".

What is a Primary spell? A basic spell which has limitless properties and effects, a

spell which is the progenitor of all the spells and their distant variants also known as

techniques.

Every human and Zarden had believed in Sir Albius's theory up to this day, but after hearing Zverius's wisdom which he gleaned from the Library of Benevolence, anybody could discard this theory for good.

Now that we think deeply, it is rather obvious that the libraries are the perpetrators of

this time loop but...why would they do that?"

Cerebius turned to Zverius as he asked this question. Zverius remained silent for

awhile and then shrugged indifferently.

"I don't know honestly what they are trying to achieve but I'll inform you as soon as I

know it."

Everyone nodded and then realized that it was time to discuss the crux of the matter. This pressing issue which may lead to the end of this world. David glanced at Zverius

with a deep frown and asked in a slightly hostile manner.

"So what's this weird reincarnation spell? Explain."

Even Cerebius and Klubius were staring at Zverius with curiousity glimmering in their

eyes. All of them present here deserved to know about the reincarnation spell

because in the upcoming events they had to know it for the sake of their roles which

they'll play in these ordeals.

Zverius had a lost look on his face as the name of reincarnation spell fell on his ears, all the memories he made in his more than five thousand years of life flashed into his

mind, remembering all of that made his body tremble in ire, agitation, fear but a slight

joyous nostalgia asserted it's presence in it too.

It was a peculiar emotional state which he came out of after a few moments of

reminiscing.

Zverius sighed deeply and began his explanation, "Cursed and divine spells are

classified in ten classes. Spells which have to do with reincarnation are always class

five and higher. One needs dark crimson energy in their core to cast these spells, higher the class of the cursed or divine spell, more dark crimson energy is to

be put in the casting.

Class five and higher spells have consciousness so, they have the potential to

become Evyryne that's why wielders of dark crimson energy refrain from casting

those spells.

It's simple, really. Every wielder of dark crimson energy develops a visual dark

crimson technique. It's unique for every individual. It's a visual ability which can help

you see things which mundane people can't see. Like those wavelengths of light

which aren't visible to eyes or microbes. One can see the runes but can't read and

understand it. In Zarius's case he was able to read and understand runes and so

obviously if he can understand those then he was able to create his own spells, right?

A simple answer would be yes but there were many limitations to it. Learning runic

language is an arduous process, it's time consuming which might take several

decades to bear fruit.

However, Zarius's will and persistent attitude is simply commendable. He didn't give

up and managed to create a reincarnation spell which was class 4 cursed spell and

also had main properties of class 3 cursed spell.

It took him almost three thousand years but he finally managed to create his own

spell which was unheard of. He was missing for a whole century before our deaths. Nobody knew and nobody wanted to know where he was, after all he was a huge

problem to everyone.

So people thought that he left to some other place or something else. We let our

guard down, if I'm being honest. He sneakily manipulated the mages by summoning

a mage, his trusted ally to his new hideout and then reverse summoned him.

He manipulated them and they were already greedy and selfish enough to betray us. When we Zardens were on the verge of death, Zarius appeared out of nowhere and

began to cast this spell but no matter what I always had something in my sleeve to

turn the tables.

You see...when my core started producing dark crimson energy...my whole clan and

other Zardens expected me to possess a visual dark crimson technique. But to their

surprise and disappointment I didn't possess one.

However, when my core started producing dark crimson energy no one else possessed a dark crimson energy producing core. But when some started to produce then they automatically developed their respective visual dark crimson techniques and that's when I realised that I can copy others' visual dark crimson techniques..."

Hearing this, David, Henry and Harold's eyes widened in surprise.

"...and not only that I could copy them and it would be thousand times more powerful than the original. I kept this as a secret because everyone already believed that I was a defective in this case.

But ironically I was the most effective one among them. So, I copied Zarius's visual

dark crimson technique and learned the runes and deciphered them in couple of

minutes.

Then I modified the spell's properties and effects, when they left."

"Wow.." Harold couldn't help but respect Zverius for his wit. Zverius looked at Harold

with a prideful smile and said, "Don't be surprised, there is more to this spell."

To be continued...
