Chapter 27 - The Creation of the World

Ariadna's first lessons with Velor focused on how to conduct herself. They covered behavior and understanding body language. To uncover any secrets, she needed to earn her family's trust. So, her next few months were filled with training, reading, and learning how to act as a proper holy heir. She also began studying history and the origins of the holy families. Although she was familiar with the legends, Velor wanted her to memorize them.

"In the beginning, there was only the Void, a vast emptiness without light or form. From this nothingness emerged the Primordial It, an indescribable entity representing both creation and chaos. With a great breath, It shattered the Void, giving birth to the cosmos and the five deities who would shape the world.

First came the God of Destruction and Renewal, crackling with energy and raw power. He shaped the forces of nature, embodying both destruction and the new beginnings that follow. His realm, the Realm of Ashes, intertwined cycles of devastation and renewal. He taught that from chaos comes creation, and his influence is vital to life's balance.

Next emerged the God of Night and Secrets, cloaked in shadows and mysteries. He created the stars and the moon to brighten the darkness, and his realm, the Domain of Night, became a sanctuary for secrets. He emphasized the importance of knowledge, teaching that some truths must remain hidden to protect existence's balance.

Following him was the Goddess of Earth and Fertility, radiant and nurturing. She created mountains, filled valleys with rivers, and covered the land with lush forests. Her realm, the Realm of Fertility, thrived with life, providing sustenance to all. She taught the significance of nurturing and growing, reminding everyone that all life is connected.

Next came the God of Innovation and Craft, full of creativity and inspiration. He shaped the raw materials of the earth and taught mortals how to craft tools, build shelters, and invent new technologies. His realm, the Domain of Ingenuity, thrived on knowledge and progress. Invenor encouraged mortals to use their creativity and strive for improvement.

Finally, the Goddess of Peace and Forgiveness appeared, radiating love and understanding. She wove harmony among the realms, ensuring balance. Her realm, the Domain of Harmony, was free from discord. She taught the value of compassion, diplomacy, and the strength in unity.

As the deities shaped the world, they decided to bless the realms with mortal representatives, leading to the formation of the Five Holy Families.

The Holy Family of the God of Destruction and Renewal: was marked by their resilience and strength. They embraced the duality of destruction and renewal, teaching others about the cycles of life and the importance of embracing change.

The Holy Family of the God of Night and Secrets: became known for their wisdom and affinity for knowledge. They guarded secrets, interpreting the whispers of the night and ensuring that knowledge was written down and used responsibly.

The Holy Family of the Godess of Earth and Fertility: fostered life and fertility, being renowned for their deep connection to the land. They cultivated earth, healing, and nurturing both plants and people.

The Holy Family of the God of Innovation and Craft: thrived on creativity and progress, becoming the innovators of society. Their craftsmanship and inventions propelled civilization forward, ensuring that tradition melded with advancement.

The Holy Family of the Godess of Peace and Compassion: represented unity and understanding, acting as mediators and healers among the realms. They spread messages of peace and compassion, working to maintain harmony across the domains.

Together, the five domains flourished. The gods and their families worked in concert, each contributing their unique strengths to maintain the balance of the world. However, they constantly reminded mortals of the fragility of this balance, for the powers of destruction and renewal, craft and innovation, and peace and compassion must work in harmony to sustain life.

Thus, the world was born from the chaos of the Void, nurtured by divine intentions, and sustained through the ebb and flow of the five mighty domains and their families. As the ages passed, the lessons of the gods echoed through generations, guiding the inhabitants in their quest for knowledge, strength, and unity.
