Peter Parker's emotions were a tangled mess.
Originally, he'd planned to head home, lock himself in his room, and quietly sulk.
(And no, don't ask who "Quiet" is; even he didn't know where she'd run off to.)
But then, the sudden appearance of the Lizard disrupted everything.
Watching innocent bystanders being attacked, Peter—still adjusting to his newfound powers—couldn't resist the urge to play superhero.
Maybe it was his nature, or maybe he just wanted to be a big hero.
Either way, Peter had secretly fashioned himself a costume, though it was crude and hastily made.
Now, faced with the Lizard, he donned his Spider-Man suit and leapt into action!
"Hey, big guy! Shopping too? Your outfit's really something… unique. Looking for a new style? Crocodile skin is in this year! By the way, are crocodiles and lizards related?"
From the moment Peter opened his mouth, his trademark sarcasm was in full swing.
The Lizard climbed to his feet, snapping the webbing around his legs.
His blood-red eyes locked onto Spider-Man as he unleashed a furious roar.
"Stupid bug! You're asking to die!"
With a surge of primal rage, the Lizard charged at Spider-Man.
His sharp claws sliced through the air, aiming directly for Spider-Man's heart.
"!!!"
Peter's face paled, panic setting in as he froze momentarily.
He had only recently gained his abilities, and aside from shooting webs, he had no combat experience.
Now, faced with the Lizard, fear paralyzed him.
At the critical moment, Peter's Spider-Sense flared with urgency!
He flipped into the air just in time.
Swish!
The Lizard's claws came within inches of his chest, narrowly missing him.
In mid-air, Peter shot out a web and swung himself 10 meters away.
"Whoo!"
Escaping death, Peter exhaled deeply.
Still, he couldn't resist quipping:
"Hey there, Mr. Lizard—uh, Lizard Sir. I was just giving you some fashion tips. Why so angry? Rough morning? Maybe go back to bed for a bit, huh?"
"Shut up!"
The Lizard roared, charging at him again.
Peter fought while retreating, relying on his agility and Spider-Sense.
The two clashed in what could only be described as a chaotic battle of amateurs.
Meanwhile, in a nearby café...
"Su Yu, let's hide! We can't let that thing see us!"
Wanda huddled against Su Yu, her voice trembling as she glanced fearfully at the fight outside.
In her panic, she forgot Su Yu had superpowers, worrying only about being discovered by the monster.
"Don't worry, Gwen. I'll protect you," Su Yu reassured her with a smile, wrapping an arm around her.
He watched the fight calmly, shaking his head.
"Looks like Peter Parker's already embraced his Spider-Man persona... though his combat skills are still lacking," Su Yu muttered.
Then again, he had no room to talk—his own battle experience wasn't much better.
But just then, a familiar notification rang in his mind, bringing a grin to his face:
[Ding! Host has encountered a Spider-Man storyline. Defeat the Lizard to earn one active trading opportunity.]
"Again? Does the system need me to cause trouble?" Su Yu grumbled inwardly.
His system lacked punishments but seemed intent on dragging him into events.
Perhaps it expedited the system's search for trading partners—a hidden feature, maybe?
Either way, Su Yu decided to take on the task for the reward.
"Gwen, stay here. I'll be back soon!"
After soothing Gwen, Su Yu strode confidently out of the café.
Onlookers were stunned.
Is this guy insane? He's walking straight into danger! Can't he just stay hidden like the rest of us?
But Gwen, belatedly remembering Su Yu's strength, gazed after him with admiration.
Her heart raced as she whispered, "Mr. Su is so... cool!"
Back in the square, the crowd had long since scattered.
Peter was still battling the Lizard, his webs flinging wildly.
"Sir, sticking your tongue out is very impolite, you know that? Also, has anyone ever told you your breath is terrible?"
Peter's endless taunts pushed the Lizard closer to the brink of madness.
Thud, thud.
From the distance, Su Yu approached unhurriedly.
Peter immediately noticed.
"Su... Su Yu?!"
Peter froze for a moment, then realized something: if Su Yu was here, Gwen was likely nearby too.
She must be watching! That means she's seeing me in action!
Excitement surged within Peter, fueling his determination to show off.
"Sir, don't come any closer! It's dangerous here!" Peter shouted, eager to handle the situation himself.
After all, this was his stage—a chance to prove himself as a hero.
"Roar!"
The Lizard also noticed Su Yu and shifted his focus.
If he couldn't catch Peter, he could target the newcomer instead.
"Mr. Su, look out!"
Peter's alarmed voice rang out as the Lizard charged.
Even Gwen, watching from afar, held her breath in fear, her face full of worry.
But Su Yu simply smiled.
"Perfect timing. Let's test Doraemon's Air Cannon," he murmured, raising his hand with a calm confidence.
A finger adorned with a special thimble extended toward the charging Lizard...
