Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Thirty and Thriving? Su Yu’s Stamina Put to the Test!

A seemingly ordinary potion had the extraordinary effect of transforming him into the Hulk—practically a cheat-level item!

The only downside was that it lasted for only five minutes.

But Su Yu was already very satisfied.

Trading some food for such a powerful potion? What more could he ask for?

And besides, the main source of these potions was still right in front of him.

"Tom, I really like your potions!"

Looking at Tom with a smile, Su Yu spoke earnestly:

"I actually think you're a genius, Tom. But don't you think it's a pity that the potion's effects don't last very long?"

"Shopkeeper, you mean...?"

Hearing Su Yu's praise, Tom beamed with joy.

This was the first time anyone had ever acknowledged him—especially someone like Su Yu!

The Multiverse Shopkeeper, a being of supreme authority!

Tom felt both thrilled and honored.

"I think you could improve it a little. I really like your inventions!"

Su Yu decided to be direct, taking out another large pile of food.

Americans loved hoarding cheese and other dairy products, and now these were being offered to Tom the Cat.

Tom, now grinning ear to ear, eagerly agreed:

"Don't worry, Shopkeeper! I won't let you down!"

"Hehe, I'm looking forward to it."

Su Yu chuckled and chatted with Tom for a while longer.

Eventually, he ended the transaction.

Closing the system interface, Su Yu looked at the three potions he had acquired, his face full of satisfaction.

Having Tom as his first trade target felt like a stroke of luck.

Since they'd established a connection, future transactions could happen anytime—no more waiting for trade applications to appear.

He wondered when his next target would show up.

With a thought, Su Yu stored the potions in the system's built-in inventory.

After checking on Aunt May, who was still sound asleep, Su Yu smirked and left the house.

He wanted to take a walk and buy something delicious for Aunt May.

After all, she'd worked so hard for him.

He felt a bit guilty.

Time flew by.

By evening, Aunt May finally woke up.

"Well, someone slept through the whole day, huh?"

Su Yu teased, glancing at Aunt May's voluptuous figure.

"Hmph! Look who's talking," Aunt May retorted, rubbing her sore body.

She walked into the bathroom.

After freshening up, she dressed under Su Yu's watchful gaze and headed to the kitchen to start cooking.

Su Yu helped out—though mostly with wandering hands.

"Stop it! Peter will be back soon!"

Aunt May blushed, scolding him.

Click!

The sound of the front door opening interrupted them.

Su Yu quickly stepped out of the kitchen.

He was greeted by Peter Parker and smiled warmly:

"Peter, back from school?"

"Hello, Mr. Su," Peter greeted politely, though he glanced curiously toward the kitchen.

"Aunt May, are you feeling better? Are you sure you're okay?"

He seemed ready to help in the kitchen.

"Oh, I'm fine!"

Aunt May's trembling voice came from the kitchen.

Still flustered from Su Yu's earlier teasing, her face was bright red, and she felt oddly guilty.

"It's okay, Peter."

Su Yu chuckled inwardly and pulled Peter toward his room.

"Don't disturb your Aunt May. Come with me—I've got something cool to show you!"

"Mr. Su, what are you doing?"

Peter Parker, confused, allowed himself to be led away.

Aunt May sighed in relief.

After dinner, once Peter had gone to study in his room, Aunt May sneaked into Su Yu's.

"What are you doing here? What, can't get enough?"

Su Yu had been expecting her. He smirked knowingly.

They say women in their thirties are like tigers.

Aunt May wasn't even forty yet, and her boundless energy almost left Su Yu calling it quits.

If not for his natural talent, he might have already given up.

"Hmph!"

Aunt May glared at him, pretending to be offended.

"Fine, I'll leave then."

"Get over here!"

Ignoring her, Su Yu patted the seat next to him on the sofa, commanding her.

Aunt May hesitated, wanting to maintain her composure.

But under Su Yu's calm yet piercing gaze, she couldn't resist and slowly approached, kneeling down beside him.

Su Yu leaned back on the sofa, closing his eyes.

Aunt May began her "midnight snack."

Half an hour later, Aunt May wiped her mouth contentedly and left the room.

The next day, Su Yu woke up early.

He'd intended to sleep in.

But who could've expected a late-night "ambush" and another exhausting night?

Aunt May's energy continued to amaze him.

Looking at her lying lazily in bed, Su Yu couldn't resist smacking her lightly, making her tremble all over.

"I can't take it anymore, Su! Please take Peter to school for me," Aunt May pleaded, looking at him with wide, pitiful eyes.

"And tonight?"

Su Yu asked with a sly grin.

"Tonight, you can do whatever you want," Aunt May replied, her voice muffled as she hid under the blanket.

"You said it."

Satisfied, Su Yu grabbed his keys and headed downstairs.

Peter Parker was already waiting for him.

"Good morning, Mr. Su."

"Peter, your Aunt May isn't feeling well today. I'll take you to school," Su Yu said with a smile, jingling his car keys.

"Aunt May's sick again?"

Peter looked worried but didn't question it.

"Alright. Thank you, Mr. Su."

"No problem. Let's go."

Su Yu nodded, and they left the house together.

They got into a Ford SUV.

With the engine roaring, the car sped off toward Midtown High School.
