"Mr. Su, what's going on with Aunt May? Why has she been sick so often lately?"
Peter Parker looked worried.
For the past few days, he'd been walking to school on his own.
That wasn't a big deal; he had always insisted Aunt May didn't need to see him off. But why was Su Yu the one driving him now?
Initially, Peter had a good impression of Su Yu, the Asian tenant.
But after what happened with Gwen yesterday, he found Su Yu to be utterly cold-hearted.
"Your Aunt May's not feeling well. You know, women... they have those days every month. You get it," Su Yu said with a shrug, ignoring Peter's hostility.
After all, he was already "occupying" Aunt May.
A little tolerance for Peter's temper seemed like a fair trade, a small compensation to Aunt May.
Besides, he'd more than make up for it with Aunt May later—just in a different way.
"I... I see..."
Hearing Su Yu's words, Peter's face turned bright red.
While still naive about adult matters, he understood enough to feel a mix of embarrassment and guilt.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Su. I didn't mean to take it out on you; I just..."
The straightforward Peter Parker felt ashamed.
After all, regardless of what happened with Gwen, Su Yu was going out of his way to drive him to school. Acting out would only let Aunt May down.
"It's fine, I understand," Su Yu replied with a smile as they got into the car.
As they drove, Su Yu said casually, "Don't worry about Gwen; she's fine now. You'll see her at school soon."
"R-really?!"
Peter was excited but quickly tried to cover it up.
"Ahem, I mean... I wasn't worried or anything. Just, you know, looking out for a classmate."
"Heh."
Su Yu chuckled but didn't say more.
They arrived at school soon after, just in time to see Gwen stepping out of a car in the distance.
She spotted Su Yu right away, her face lighting up with delight before she quickly composed herself.
Waving her father off, she waited until the police car drove away before walking over to Su Yu's car.
Peter, shyly stepping out of the car, mustered up the courage to greet her.
"Gwen, g-good morning..."
But before he could finish, Gwen shyly walked past him, her gaze fixed on Su Yu.
"Sir, thank you for saving me yesterday. I... could I have your contact information?"
"???"
Peter froze.
His goddess was asking for another man's contact information? And it was Su Yu?!
No! No! Cue the background music!
"Snowflakes drifting, the north wind howling..."
"Of course."
Su Yu was momentarily taken aback but then smiled.
Was his charm really that irresistible?
Aunt May was a beautiful widow, but Gwen? She was a young maiden—and Peter Parker's canonical love interest, no less.
Still, Su Yu didn't mind.
As he glanced at the graceful, blossoming Gwen, he thought to himself: A legal loli, huh?
And with her father being a police captain, getting caught could mean... three years? No, probably a death sentence.
But Su Yu wasn't afraid of George Stacy. Taking out his phone, he exchanged contact information with Gwen, who blushed shyly as he drove off.
Only after Su Yu left did Gwen reluctantly look away.
Turning to Peter, she asked, "Peter, what were you trying to say just now?"
"I... uh..."
Peter looked as if the life had been drained from him.
But Gwen didn't seem to notice. With a hint of embarrassment, she asked, "By the way, Peter, who is that guy? A relative of yours? He looks Asian."
"Mr. Su... he's our tenant," Peter answered truthfully, though he was reluctant.
"Oh, I see."
Hearing about Su Yu's circumstances, Gwen's eyes filled with sympathy.
Clearly, he must have a mysterious past.
A man full of secrets!
Beside her, Peter's heart shattered into pieces as he watched Gwen's infatuated expression.
No! My goddess!
Meanwhile, Su Yu was driving home when a motorcycle abruptly swerved in front of him at an intersection.
The narrow turn left no time for him to brake, resulting in a minor collision.
The motorcycle fell to the ground, but the rider deftly flipped off, landing steadily on her feet.
"Well, well, looks like we've got a martial artist here," Su Yu muttered as he parked the car.
He knew this wouldn't be a simple matter.
Surveying the rider's outfit, he noticed her black leather jacket and curvy figure—especially her shapely hips and sizable bust.
Grade A, he mentally rated.
However, her helmet obscured her face. Pushing open his car door, Su Yu approached.
Though it wasn't entirely his fault, he still offered politely, "Miss, are you okay? Should I take you to the hospital?"
"Handsome, where are you rushing off to?"
The rider's voice was sultry, and as she removed her helmet, her breathtakingly seductive face came into view. Her luscious red lips curled into a teasing smile as she locked eyes with Su Yu.
"Natasha?"
Su Yu instantly recognized her and broke into a grin.
His initial guilt vanished.
Now, boldly eyeing her from head to toe, he smirked and said, "Cut the act, Natasha. Be honest—are you here to investigate me or to give me a good citizen award?"
"You?!"
Natasha looked genuinely startled.
